Dear Diary, I embarrassed myself in French today...
Monsieur Pascal was giving us a refresher test on numbers, the hundreds and thousands, where he'll get 'lucky' students to go up to the board and he'll randomly dictate numbers in French and we'll have to write the numerical figures. I was trying to will myself into becoming invisible while he's happy calling out, in his words, "victims". Luckily Natalie and Siew Hui gave me a crash course on numbers before he came in la, cause' I missed the previous tutorial (the tutorial starts at 12:30pm and I woke up at 12:30pm, tell me I'm zai :D).
I don't know if it's lack of willpower or sheer suayness, I got called out, the first few numbers went pretty smoothly, and I was going "Oh Yeah Yeah Yeah!" in my heart already until the final number. He said: "Douze" and I went @_@ so he began singing "Douze douze douze~", probably trying to inspire the answer outta my puny brain T_T I really dunno what number is douze at the point of time, but it sounded like "deuce" to me, so I asked him: "Deuce? Like in tennis?" waving an imaginary racquet meekly. And he smiled and nodded lor! So I happily wrote "deuce" on the board and they laughed at me T_T~. After recovering from his fit, he gave me a 2nd chance, at this point of time I was pai seh to the max already lor and I just want to go back to my seat and cry (haha yeah right), so I anyhow whack and wrote "deux". The ang moh finally surrendered and corrected me. Stupid student pwns. :D
Back in secondary school, I sucked in Math, it's okay I told myself, I'm just bad with numbers. Fast forward today, I still suck at numbers. T_T"
Haha but I really enjoyed French, it's one of the few subs that I really, really enjoy. The teacher and the classmates, really made it super fun. Haha unlike Roo's tutor, who sounded like Hitler reincarnate, in female form somemore. Lol. Drop pencil case also kena scolded. Nevermind Roo, maybe she hasn't warmed up to you guys yet. Jiayou!!!
