I just cut my hair. No, not at a hairdresser's. I cut my hair, literally.

Haha always wanted to cut my own hair, cus' been to many hair salons and I'm satisfied with the results like 9 out of 10 times. So...heck wonder what came over me, I'm not a risk taker. Well, usually. Mum thought I went to the salon, so I guess it looks alright. Haha oh well, I had a bad hair day today so I thought, why not give it a shot? It can't get any worse. Hmmm...

OK OK school's gonna be in come Monday. Seriously, is it already 3 months!?! It's true when they say "time flies when you're having fun". Hmm enough rest and fun during the holidays, now let's get some serious work going on here, shall we? *cracks knuckles* Bring it on, let's hope my second year will be a better one, academically. =)

Finally got to watch some J-doramas. Watched the Japanese version of Hana Kimi today, and I LOVE IKUTA TOMA!!! He plays Nakatsu a.k.a Xiu Yi in the serial. I wanna fly to Japan to see him! Haha there's only 4 episodes online, since they're still broadcasting it over in Japan, so look out for it you guys. And if...like me you've gone nuts over Ikuta Toma after watching Hana Kimi, then watch Akihabara@Deep too. Watch how the otakus of Akiba fight back after getting humiliated and insulted all this while. Totally funny, but heartwarming too, stuff like friendship and standing up for yourself. These otakus gather under Yui to form Akihabara@Deep to solve problems for fellow otakus (a.k.a. Akibakei, Akiba's inhabitants), "trouble shooter"! Haha I'm gonna follow up on this serial cus' these otakus packs a punch. Oh yeah, learnt some interesting stuff about Japan's otaku culture too! Like in Akiba, oden's a popular dish among otakus for some reason. And they sell these in vending machines.

If you really wanna know who Ikuta Toma is...hmm here ;D --->

OK OK and so the countdown begins. Ahhh...someone send me some peektures from Vietnam please! Sankyu~ Foooo~ XD

I have a sudden craving for soft shell crab handroll. T_T And Mum tempted me even further by passing me this Sakae delivery pamphlet. Nice...Just what I need. Haha

Neways, this is my 300th post. How come it feels waaaay more than 300? Haha yeah so I'm proud that I stuck to this very same blog for 4 years running. To my blog, thanks for being my outlet all this time. Knew all along we had a connection. Like connection, geddit? LMAO! Hahaha sorry there, lame joke I know. So, movin on...

Okay okay! Got some more pics from the trip. There's like 7.8GB of em', gonna get them from Roo sometime (soon)!

Watch out for them at the end of this post.

Oh update update! Got myself a new mobile, finally! I know. Lol. Got a hardy bar phone from Sony Ericsson. I'll try to take GOOD care of it. Look ma! I even got him a handphone pouch!

I think I shall call my mobile Dino, as a tribute to my ex-mobile.

Peektures!

Saturday, July 28, 2007 , 12:11 PM

Was supposed to meet Aunty Shirl today or was it tomo? But I just realised we haven't confirmed the venue, and neither one of them's online! See. We all can't live very long without our handphones. *sighs* Why oh why do I have to lose it on the last day of Vietnam, of all days. Haha when I touched down not-so-sunny Singapore, I told my mum it was fated. Hahaha she gave me this look, but yeah all's cool she didn't give me a hard time, mainly cus' Dad's there (I suspect ;D). Whoo thank the Goddess of Mercy. Mercy! This unfortunate incident led to a new friendship which is kinda cool. But then it led to something quite unfunny, got teased like all the way to the airport, on the plane and back here in Singapore. U_U

Okay so I'm gonna sign up for a new mobile and contact Aunt Shirl ASAP, she must be friggin' pissed right now that I haven't returned her library book! Called my sis from Vietnam to return the book, imagine the horror when I come back to find THE book sitting on the very same place I left it 11 days ago. Yeah very horrifying right? Living with a family of procrastinators and being one. Haha so I've decided to pay the fine to Aunty Shirl when we finally meet up! I really hope you're reading this! Hahaha I'm prolly gonna get *bish-ed* by you but it's okay.

Yup back to serious business. So, I'm gonna continue with my 11 days of Vietnam post. Here goes...*deep breath*

Day 6~7~8 - Nha Trang: Islands. Seafood. Biking. Uncle Mun ('mun' means strong in Vietnamese)

Took the minivan to Nha Trang from Da Lat (went to this replica of the Great Wall of China and saw the Zoo of weird Animals, saw real animals there! Like 3-legged dogs, 5 legged Heo (pig) and other weird animals, freaky!!!). The journey down the mountains was totally breath-taking. Gop-ed some rocks on the way, the scenery's like something outta a geography text! I took tons of pics that I'm proud of and now they're all gone. Oh god I'm supposed to put it behind me. Moving on. The scenery's so un-Vietnam, it's like some highway in Arizona or something. The clouds. the lush greenery, God I can barely accept the fact that I'm actually standing in it. Like you only get to see such beautiful sights on magazines, documentaries and now that you're immersed in it...it simply takes your breath away. Geez. I've lost count of the times I said "I can't believe I'm here" during the trip. So yeah gotta wait for pics to come in to justify its beauty. XD Oh and we got to see like REAL kampongs, my first black and white spotted cow (read:dairy)! Cows here are mainly brown. So moooo to that.

Nha Trang's like hot, hot and...HOT. Checked into La Suisse Hotel. First impression of the hotel: SUPERB. It's like some resort in Bali, very islandic feel. Walk out onto the balcony an you get a smashin' view of the sea. Haha and everyone's hogging the lazy chair momentarily. Let's just say first impressions don't last very long. Why? You'll find out soon.

So we rest a lil' after the long and amusingly bumpy ride. We rented a bike from the hotel, Ru's pillion with YC (you really gotta learn cycling! Haha), Bobo and I each got a bike. Imagine how shocked I was when YC and Bobo said we're gonna travel arund by bikes (bicycles). Hahaha and they initially wanted to try out the motorcycles, but yeah since they haven't got a license the receptionist advised against it. I've NEVER cycled along the road, or in any traffic whatsoever. My bike skills (if any to begin with) are limited to the likes of Pasir Ris Park, Bishan Park, East Coast Park (heck even the weekend human traffic at ECP unsettles me a lil'). So to cycle around Nha Trang, I was running on pure adrenaline man which is fueled by the sweet sense of achievement. Haha so yeah we cycled to the Cham Towers, it's like a mini Angkor Wat, it's an ancient temple kinda place. There's some prayers going around, then this uncle popped out tapped my shoulder and went "Korea?". He actually thought we were a bunch of travelling Koreans (*ahem Ru..ahem Hanoi). He's really friendly so we asked him like where to go and stuff.XD

Went to the parking lot outside to get our bikes and we saw a mini rainbow! Haha and we saw this guy hurling bricks at his other friend. Hurling bricks to someone about one storey above you! Haha imagine how light these bricks are! The parking lot people kept laughing at us, I went wooo after getting my bike and this bugger imitated me. -_-" Haha but yeah they're friendly, they asked us where we came from. We played this Guess Where We're From game countless times during our trip, so most of them guessed we're from Japan/Korea and Ru's from Hanoi. Haha but it's all in good fun.

Cycled off to the road along the coast and it's like friggin' Miami man! I swear I almost caused a road accident not just once. Whenever we encounter a circus, I panicked and would stop like in the middle of the road with bikes zooming past me everywhere, hahaha looking back it seemed insanely crazy and I still can't believe I came right out of it unscathed. Thank my lucky stars! Lol. But yeah thanks to YC, Ru and Bobo who kinda herded me, kept reminding me to keep to my right and encouraging me by saying "You're doing well" and stuff. Without you guys, I'd never have the guts to cycle out on the road running on full traffic.

The beach looked smashingly stunning under the white fluffy clouds and oh-so-blue sky! And the pale, pale sand! Haha we stopped at this restaurant (no air-con open air) and that's where we got to know Uncle Mun. Haha we ordered so much shells and shrimps. The 'shells' (si ham) were like cooked with chopped onions and peanuts on it, totally DOPE man! Then Uncle Mun sat down and sorta chat with us, asking where we came from and we told him we signed up with the island tour for the next day. So he suggested that he could take us 4 on his boat on island tours and we could snorkel and stuff, the main draw is that there'll only be us 4 instead of being herded around with 30++ other tourists. Haha we cancelled our island tour and decided to go with Uncle Mun, after downing couple of cans of 333 beers. I think it's the alcohol or something, we actually gave up the floating bar and decided to go on a boat trip with a random stranger. Haha looking back, I think we're crazy. But Uncle Mun tempted us la! He said he' gonna take us on HIS boat (which can seat more than 20 people), bring along kilograms of shrimps, shells, sotong and generous cans of beer and cola, and baguettes and canned food (viva la Viet style!).

So we settled our activities for the next day and cycled on and went on to the beach. Carrot Man played beach soccer (1st time in his life -_-") while us girls slacked around lying on the beach. So like, something unfortunate happened to me *winks winks* and I told Ru and Bobo I wanted to get 'bread', and we wanted to keep it from Carrot Man cus' we thought it'd be a lil' awkward. But eventually, he knows la! Hahaha but it wasn't as awkward leh, felt very normal. We even joked about how in the world we're gonna hunt for 'bread' in Vietnam laaa, so we suggested using body language, do a flapping action to tell the locals we want 'bread' with wings. LOL! Then we went back to the hotel, Ru and YC went off to get us dinner and helped me get 'bread', hahaha thanks you guys made my day man!

The next morning we woke up bright and early with anticipation. Uncle Mun and his other friend drove us on their motorbikes. Uncle Mun drove Ru and i on his bike, 3 people on a bike! Haha we did something illegal Ma! Lol. It's always fun with speed. So we got to the dock, and like many locals seemed to know Uncle Mun la, YC says they're his Ka Gia (subordinates). We realised that it wasn't HIS boat lor, it was RENTED. Haha anyways we reached our first island. Check out their oceanarium, saw puffer fish that refuses to puff despite me standing by the glass furiously bloating and puffing my cheeks. Saw seahorse. Saw lotsa Nemos. Saw lotsa sharks. Saw GIGANTIC garouper fishies. HUGE and according to Uncle Mun, ancient (they were like 80 yrs old!!!). Saw cutesy sea turtles. Then we went to have coconuts cus' it was so bloody hot there. Uncle Mun took ou coconuts to the seller and he chopped it open with a parang and he expertly used the coconut cap to carve out tenderlicious flesh out and fed us that delicacy. Stupid me stuck out both hands and Uncle Mun plopped the coconut flesh on my hands and I stupidly ate it like that. Lol. Thanks ah. They thought it was funny lor, it's normal to eat with your hands what! Haha I'm a hands-on person =D.

Then we went off to another island! This is where the snorkelling begins! We have to pay money to rent a spot by the beach la. Haha then Uncle Mun took out this Peng Gang thingy, and we BBQ-ed the sotong, shrimps, shells. He sandwiched the BBQ-ed sotong inside a stub of baguette and dipped in some canned tomato meat ball thingy, and dipped in pepper-salt concoction, it's so friggin heavenly la especially with 333 beer! I'm drooling just thinking of it. Haha and we just threw away the vertebrae, shells and whatever rubbish on the floor. So freestyle! Lol. Then we headed to the beach and swam around, we actually used the snorkel sets that Uncle Mun brought along. This Canadian guy (he looked Pan-Asian) and chatted with us a lil'. Bobo picked up a 200 Dong bill in the sea! Haha 200 dong's worthless but to pick money in the sea's like crazily lucky lor! First time I wore a ****** la, well only the top with shorts. Haha then washed off the sand at the shower rooms (must pay!) which are not exactly clean =>. Pity we didn't get to jet ski or parasail...it's like friggin 250,000 dong!!! Haha but yeah it was fun watching. Yeah right. Lol.

After that we slacked on the beach chairs then walked to someplace else, just laying there enjoying the breeze and crapping. That's when we kinda feel like we got cheated, USD20 each for an island tour. Haha but thinking back, the whole boat to us 4, the seafood, price's quite reasonable right? Even though we went to like 2 and a half islands only. Haha the last island wasn't really an island, we stopped by this kelong which is NEAR an island. Haha we stood on floating wooden planks in the middle of the sea la! So exciting, then the kelong people showed us the HUGE lobsters and fishies. But we're bankrupts so we didn't get to see them on our dinner plates. Awww...

Before our boat left for the dock, a kelong kid asked if he could have our unfinished can of cola so we gave it to him. Waah the smile on his face...he took the cola and shared it with his sister and that got me thinking.... =D

So we reached the dock and 3-in-1 motorbike ride back again. YC and Bobo told Uncle Mun we will be at his restaurant to have his 'big fish' for dinner and I really thought we were going back to have dinnr lor. Haha then I realised they were acting, cus' we felt kinda cheated and we just wanted to eat something else. Back at the hotel, we realised how 'deep-fried' we were man after hours under the Nha Trang sun. Lol we're officially black not tanned.

We didn't wanna stay at the hotel that night, cus' it was waay stuffy in there. So YC, Roo and I made this bold and crazy decision to spend the night at the beach blanketed by the starry night while Bobo stayed to rest at the hotel and looked after our stuff, thanks Bobo!

We rented the bikes overnight and we cycled the entire stretch of Nha Trang under the stars, like we cycled until the end of the road, we actually cycled about 30km over 2 days. We stopped by one part of the beach and intended to sleep there but the mozzies attacked us and we decided to cycle on. Stopped at this roadside drinks stall, and the stars are like huge and sparkly, feels totally peaceful just looking at them. After that Carrot Man went to scout around the area. Roo and I realised we totally forgot that we had to pee, and there wasn't any toilets in sight. So we concluded that guys are mor convenient than us girls. Hahaha so we cycled on and entered the undeveloped part of Nha Trang, we used one of the restaurant's toilet and the staff were totally friendly la even though we told them we weren't dining. So Carrot Man exchanged contact with the manager or something and he e-mailed! Haha then we continued on to this ulu stretch near the end of the road, and it's like the undeveloped part populated by mainly kampongs. Then these dogs came charging out la, I cycled like crazy to get away from them, haha scared the hell outta us man! Roo's leg nearly got snitched by one of the dogs!!! Haha exciting but fun!!! Certain parts of the road snakes around these hills by the beach and they were really dark and there's only the occasional bike passing by, construction sites and stuff. Eerie, hahaha felt totally adventurous.

At the end of the road, we turned back and decided to park at a spot at the beach near the town area. The sky's gotten really dark by then. So we played Big Brother 2! Haha thanks to my shifus Roo and YC! I actually gamed twice, hahaha but in like dunno how many games. Moments later, we decided we were hungry and YC went off to find supper while Roo and I laid on the beach, listening to music from his MP3 and staring at the stars. Ahhh~ Slowly drifted off to the Land of Z when YC came back to wake us up for supper. Hahaha and he met this London guy, he's a Vietnamese but he went to London when he was really young, and he's back here to visit his family in like 20 years. Haha and the thing is he's also a Gooner fan like YC and he's like totally excited about it la. And yeah they exchanged contacts. Lol he told YC he can come find him if he wanna see the Gooners in future. Lucky bloke!

Then this guy came along and ask what we were eating, he claims he's the patrol guy of this beach. Haha we didn't really believe him la, but he's pretty friendly. Roo and I had baguette with lotsa filings and YC had this tomyam tasting pho, very nice lor. Then we finally settled down already when these 3 men came and surrounded us. One of them whipped out his police ID (supposedly), when I took a closer look he closed it up, yeah I'm so convinced. Hahaha so we realised we're raided by the police la, and they thought we were illegal or something cus' they were speaking in low, gruff tones, and YC told us later that he feared that they were robbers and was contemplating our escape. Lol thank God a Vietnamese lady (with ghostly makeup in the wee hours of the night) came along and told them we were from Singapore and we didn't know the rules. Haha when she told them we were Singaporeans they became super friendly to us la, one of them even patted YC on the back. Haha when the msunderstanding cleared, the 3 'police' rode off on ONE motorbike, yeah so professional. Lol.

So we went off to find some bench to get some shuteye. We saw so many weird things happen! And we can safely conclude that Vietnam never sleeps. Haha like around 2~3am, we saw this lady in white pyjamas walking around the same corner of the road, she went on a motorbike and a taxi then came back to the same corner of the road. Weird sighting number 2 was this taxi that behaved like a dog, it actually followed 2 vietnamese along the road, when they stopped it stopped. Weird sighting number 3 was this dude sleeping in a hammock, and he was like rocking his hammock furiously, almost looked like a Viking ride. Lol. It didn't help that the trees were in all kindsa weird shapes, there's the round flat topped trees and the trapezium shaped ones. Mind boggling to the max!

Slept a lil' and while waiting for the sunrise, we crapped a lot and laughed until Roo nearly PS-ed hahaha nah...we laughed till our 6 pacs popped out. Then at like 4am, more and more locals start walking out from nowhere and they're doing this weird exercises, hold on to a tree and kick, they're so flexible almost everyone could kick high into the air above their waists!!! Hahaha then this old man brisk walked around the fountain, tried to challenge him and finally overtake him then he just stopped. -_-" Think he doesn't wanna admit defeat. XP

At the first sign of dawn, like this pinkish tinge around the clouds, we walked to the beach and got a good spot. More and more locals were coming onto the beach too, mostly to swim (in the brrrr freezing cold water) and to watch the sunrise or to play beach soccer. Around 5 plus we still don't see any Sun, we were about to go off when this immensely bright ball rose up from behind the horizon and rose slowly higher and highr into the sky. It was just so.....ahhhh~ Totally worth it, despite all the mozzie attacks (Roo bore the brunt of it mainly), police raids etc...Haha awesome. My first time overnight on the beach overseas.

Cycled back to La Suisse to check out and wait for the taxi to bring us to Nha Trang airport. Walked to the next street to get breakfast, and the people there asked where we were from and yeah the guessing game begins yet again. Hahaha so YC introduced himself as Chao, Ru as Ru and when it's me...I'm Lisa. -_-" Hahaha so in Vietnam I'm known as Meli or Lisa. Lol but yeah they were really friendly. n_n

Took the cab to Nha Trang's airport which is situated in the middle of nowhere. It's in the undeveloped part of Nha Trang, so the runway was like covered in sand, like in a desert. Roo and I weren't convinced it's an airport, looked more like the Malaysian customs lor! Haha so anyhow we checked in our luggage and went into the waiting area. Walked to this mini souvenir shop to get my sis a bracelet when they announced my name. I didn't realise it was my name (cus' it was heavily accented) until they Bobo they all told me. So YC followed me down to see what's the problem. I was so freaked out la, thought they found drugs in my bag or something. In the end, all they wanted was to take the 3 bottles of juice and jam out of my luggage. Weird lor! Cus' Bobo, Ru and YC all had juice in their luggage also! Hahaha so we concluded that they called me only cus' I didin't tie the juice properly and they were afraid it might leak or something. Hahaha thank my lucky stars! Imagine getting your name announced in the airport la. They all talked abou it like it's a good thing, hahaha it's so not lor! Freaky!

Finally boarded the plane. The plane was the really old model with the propellors on the side, look like some kinda toy plane. Haha we took the Vietnam Airlines, domestic so we couldn't really complain la. It was okay, landing's pretty smooth and we even had free Sprite on board. Ahh and the white fluffy clouds floating around us makes it even better. =D

Touched down. Goodbye Nha Trang Hello Saigon once again!

Day 9 - Cu Chi Tunnel half day tour. Sinh Cafe.

Bought my uncle the rocking horse thingy while waiting outside Sinh Cafe for the bus. This little girl was trying to sell us gum and she's sooo cute we eventually gave in and bought 2 packs from her. Haha she asked us if she could have 1 or 2 gum. Really very cute, wait till I get the pics and you'll know just how cute!

The guide's the same one we got from the Mekong Delta one. His name is Thanh and he's a war veteran from the Vietnam war, quite a sensitive issue since there're quite a number of Americans on the tour. Haha he showed us his war 'souvenirs', he shared with us how shrapnels got lodged in his kneecap and stuff. He's really, really lucky man. Haha quite some background info before we got to Cu Chi.
Along the way, we stopped by a lacquer ware workshop. And the stuff there are really expensive, everything's in USD! Haha we were goofing around in the shop. There's this chopstick that looks like Harry's wand haha so we kept swishing and flicking and spouting silly magical incantations. Saw this world cup trophy replica haha of course we had to take photos with it!

Weeee~ Cu Chi Cu Chi! They showed us this video clip on how the locals made brilliant traps and stuff to protect their homes against the Americans, they showed us like images of war and stuff, then there's this very unsettling cheery music playing at the background. Like how weird. Hahaha so anyways we reall crawled in the underground tunnel! It's pitch black inside, and half the time I don't know where I'm crawling to. So we crawled like 30 m, this Japanese guy in the group went on to conquer the 100m, I think he has a torch but props to him man. It can get a leeetle claustrophobic in there cus' it's so dark and occasionally there's one or 2 eerie looking light bulbs that did nothing to light our path. Haha it was really hot but fun.

Then we rest at this makeshift area, drank tea and had tapioca. We had to dip the roasted tapioca in salted peanuts. Salty tapioca!?! Haha takes some time for my tastebuds to get used to it. But tea was nice. When they told us we were going to get some HOT tea, I was thinking it's the last thing I'd need in this HOT weather. Haha but tea proved me wrong, cus' it actually made me feel a lil' cooler. We chat with this ang moh lady and her friend, she lives in Singapore too! Haha she's a teacher from the United World College, you can spot their students hanging out at Orchard Rd like all the time in their multi-colored checkered uniforms. And she said that mooncakes were disgusting, and she obviously didin't appreciate the green tea mooncakes her neighbor gave her. Lol.

We saw many kinda traps there, there's this see saw trap, step on it and it'll flip you around and get pierced by bamboo skewers! There's another one that ensured guys out there don't get to celebrate their Father's Day if you know what I mean. Sick but fascinating, their intelligence I mean.

After the tour went back to Lac Vien to rest. Watched Australia vs Japan and it extended to extra time. Haha so we went out for dinner. Went to Ben Thanh area to get Bobo's coffee and fruits so that Roo can poo poo. Hahaha.

Tired. Zzz...

Day 10 - Shopping at Cholon and District 5 An Dong! Die die must buy!

Cabbed to Cholon, a.k.a Chinatown and my Cantonese came into good use at the temple! Haha feels like home to speak Cantonese to an elder person. Drank bubble tea!!!

Went to An Dong as suggested by the Da Lat guide. She told us here's where locals get their fashion stuff. Had KFC for lunch, their meals like served in plates! Reminds me of my childhood. Haha An Dong Plaza is like Far East Plaza man. Roo bought her mechanical dog, really VERY cute!!! I wanna get it but got no reason to bomb 50,000 dong on it T_T Haha it can do somersaults but it seems the baby's afraid of it. Hahahaha gimme Roo!

Then saw DC shoes! The skate shoes! Haha they were selling for I forgot how much, but it's very much cheaper than the originals. So we decided to go check out their street stalls, will be a whole lot cheaper.

Got DC shoes at like SGD16!!! I got 2 pairs!!! Hahaha damn cheap lar, and they're originals just that they're rejects. I'm loving them! Lol we bargained like crazy but the seller finally relented when YC (that smartass) took a can of Bobo's tiger beer and stuffed in his pocket. Hahaha he looked so happy with the Tiger la! So fellas, Tiger beer is a worthy tool in bargaining.

Walked the entire day, really shopped till you drop man. But since it's the last day, die die had to get something! Wah we saw this hardcore streetwear shop, the graffiti's smashin cool!

Dead beat by the time we are done, and we've walked like more than 8 hours. Hahaha good buys!

Went back to Lac Vien and realised my phone was missing. My heart sank at that instant man. Slept on it and decided to go to the police the next day.

Day 11 - Tearful goodbye

Asked the receptionist where the police station is. And this guy brought us there, he's really very nice and helpful! The police station was scary and all of them kept reminding me not to 'luan jiang hua'. Hahaha and the police brought me to this room with a jail in it! The inspector took my statement, and Bobo, Ru and YC can't come in. Thank God for the guy, helped me translate (couldn't understand some stuff he told me) and helped me write an eyewitness account and a Vietnamese version of my account. Can't thank him enough la! Without him I think I'd be freaking lost.

So like we went back to Lac Vien and we gave him tips! Those irritating Kukus keep sabo-ing me!!! And th atmosphere got a lil' awkward U_U Haha YC said since the Viet police couldn't give us a copy of the statement (for insurance claim), I need to take Lac Vien's namecard just in case. So I asked for the namecard and he gave me his e-mail address so I can contact him for the insurance thingy. But the 3 kukus kept teasing me all the way back to Singapore -_-" Friends. Hahaha but it's ok.

So finally came back to Singapore (raining!) and I sent him a thank you e-greeting. =)
In conclusion, Vietnam is an awesome place to visit, with friendly people that helped us along the way. Lac Vien ROCKS! Please stay there when you're in Vietnam. Vietnam's pretty good for shopping, like Chatuchak but cheaper I think. Hahaha I miss Vietnam! T_T

And there wraps up my Viet trip! Here's a pic I gop-ed from Bobo. Us crazy ginnas and the Reunification Palace in Saigon. Enjoy! Shall get more pics!

Warning: The following post may get get increasingly wordy and so I beseech all you readers out there to either A) Run to the toilet now and clear your bladder then begin your blog-o-thon or B) Exit this window immediately. There. I warned you. =)

Damn I regret not jotting down all the interesting stuff that happened during the entire trip. So here I am sitting in front of my lappy with my crummy piece of itinery. Bear with me. =>

The 11 days of Vietnam:

Day 1 - Not love at first sight =D

After a bumpy landing from Tiger.

This is my very first time in Vietnam. Took my very first breath of Ho Chi Minh air. The weather's pretty hot, but yeah manageable. There were so many Vietnamese people standing outside the arrival hall, some holding placards, some of them waving to their friends (imaginary friends, half the time I turned back and couldn't figure out who they were waving to).

The moment we stepped outside, we noted down Vietnam Airlines' contact number and *poofed* got bombarded by taxi drivers. They had uniforms on! Like a white blouse and blue tie. We bargained for a reaaally looong time before we finally got on a cab. Hahaha and I forgot how much USD we finally settled for. Anyways, Roo and I rarely (read:never) bargained or settled money matters. Why? Hehe let's just say our Math was never our strongest subject. =)

So we checked into Lac Vien Hotel (THIS IS A FREAKING AWESOME HOTEL, 5 STAR HOTEL AT A 2 STAR PRICE! LAC VIEN ROCKS LAC VIEN ROCKS! LAC VIEN ROCKS MY SOCKS!). We shared a room with double beds and an additional bed. The hotel's like reaaally good. Lol. So yeah, please check into Lac Vien when you're in Ho Chi Minh City, whoever's reading this.

There after, settled all the hotel money, Happy Tour, Sinh Cafe tour and all kinda financial matters. Yeah, so the first day in Vietnam was also the Kaching-kaching Day.

We almost died at our first attempt at crossing the roads of Ho Chi Minh City a.k.a Saigon. Traffic lights were nearly non-existent. Imagine stepping out into the road while tons of motorcycles are charging at you on your right. Yeah, that was pretty much it. The key is to walk SLOWLY across, when you're in Vietnam you gotta trust the motorcyclists and drivers to siam you, all you have to do is to pretend that there's just you on the road, keep your fingers crossed and move SLOWLY and gingerly across.

Haha Ru, Bobo and YC seemed to have gotten used to crossing the treacherous roads of Vietnam, but NOT me! Lol. I mean I'm not as scared after the first one, but I still gotta scream a lil' while I'm at it. But yeah, generally, traffic there is like 99% safe. And they don't wear helmets! All they have on are hats (more often caps), masks and hand gloves for the ladies. The ladies there are like babelicious la! I didn't see any overweight girls there, their hair's so sleek and straight like they just got it rebonded. Haha I told them it was prolly straightened due to long hours on a motorbike, the wind prolly blew it as straight as a highway man. Like seriously. Lol.

Went to the reunification palace, this really old and Harry Potter-ish post office, the Notre Dame Cathedral! Like reaaaally nice, gotta wait for the pics to come in. And Bobo got scolded by the coconut seller, she asked him for the price and he thought she wanted it so yeah misunderstanding. So like we got away quickly. XD

-------forgot what we did after paying all that $, shall update when pics are ready =)---------

Day 2 & 3- Cruising down Mekong Delta

We had free breakfast at Lac Vien, yummy with a capital 'Y'. Everything's so homely there!

Fall in at Sinh Cafe. Haha like literally you gotta fall in, cus' the previous day we went there to pay $ they were using loud hailers to 'herd' all the tourists up the bus. Lol. And you see the suku ang moh tourists looking really blur, that's like freaking funny laa.

Got free Sinh Cafe tees! There's their logo printed on the front, a general map of Vietnam and their contact details at the back. So yeah, if you're wearing these, you're a walking advertorial! Lol. Smart.

Saw many children working along the streets, like selling all kindsa stuff, from gum to lottery tickets you have it all man. Feels kinda sad, but these children are working hard with their own two hands in a rough environment, and I can only take comfort in the knowledge that they'd grow up stronger and more street smart.

We must look reaaally touristy, cus' we kept getting approached by street hawkers. We even saw some carrying one taaaaall stack of books selling them as they go along. Like a mobile library man!

Got herded up the bus and began our journey to Mekong Delta. Haha it's the main river running through Vietnam, it has like impressive geography and history you guys can google it if you wanna, the main thing's the water looks like teh tarik! And people bathe, wash their dishes, cook and do their whatever with it and they're fitter than ever. Haha but the guide told us the ice here are 'not very good for your holiday' so tourists shouldn't try.

Walked to this makeshift jetty (wherever a boat docks, it's pretty much a jetty), saw many street hawkers (mostly women) selling ^ vietnamese straw hats. Reaaally tempted to buy! But didn't T_T. Lol.

Many ang mohs were on this Mekong Delta tour with us too. But there's like only one or two shuai and young ang mohs. Haha. Oh well eye candy's always a bonus right? XD The boat's really simple with seats and a striped canvas for shelter. Ang mohs look really constipated in them. Hahaha. Our in-house photographers YC and Bobo did major phototaking while Roo and I sang and goofed around. Thank God they had their cameras, cus' I took like a bulkload of photos with my handphone and I lost it on my last day at Vietnam. T_T.

Cruised into a narrower river channel and we gotta like take down the canopy to get through this tiny bridge. Haha very DIY! Stopped at this kampong area and walked deeper into the jungle for lunch time. Lunch was good man, like veggies, eggs sunnyside up and PORK CHOP!!! There's complimentary fruits too! Then YC spotted this ang moh eating his pineapple with garlic chili drizzled on top of it. LMAO! I swear my 6-pac popped out after all that laughing man. He ate his pineapple like he was eating steak laaa! Hahaha damn funny.

Then the locals there sang for us, pretty good in a traditional way if you know what I mean =D. This ang moh got sabo-ed by the guide to sing and play the guitar, and it was good in a sense that we could relate to this kinda music. Haha then got back on our boats. It was drizzling, it was cool and so comfortable, so we snoozed a lil'. Saw lotsa boat people, can you imagine so many people living on a flimsy looking boat? Half the time, these boats look like they're gonna sink in no time. But yeah, they're real hardy in every sense of the word.

Stopped at another kampong once again to see how they made coconut candy and pop-rice (literally, we saw the rice POP). Hehe we took free samples, then bought some. Bobo bought like 10 slabs of these? Haha we regret buying these later cus' they were freaking heavy, like bricks. Lol. The pop-rice was damn interesting! We crowded around the locals, and they were like frying black sandy stuff in a huge wok (coal??) then when it gets hot enough, they throw the rice grains in it, and they POP instantly like popcorn! Only diff is ummm the end product looks like fried maggots in a bowl. =D But yeah these are pretty tasty in a quirky way.

Sat down for tea in the kampong. Vietnamese NEVER waste anything, they dry and lacquer coconut husks and they put their teapots in them to keep warm. And they look so darned cute! Pity they don't sell these lil' fellas.

Went on the 'sampan' again and proceeded to this rice mill. The rice mill's ancient! It looks like the setting in the POTC where Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom first crossed blades. And there's this sweet rice fragrance. Haha I think the guide bought some back.

Ended our Mekong Delta boat trip, transferred to a bus and went to Vinh Long. It's our first time taking a river taxi! So sua ku!!! Haha the river taxi is a huge ferry like thing that transports vehicles and commuters across the delta since Vinh Long is like on the other side of the river. Can't imagine I'm in one of these! I only saw these on TV and now I'm like in it!!! Haha we behaved like children in a candyshop man.

Arrived at Vinh Long and the locals there stared at us like we are a walking circus laaa! Haha finally understand how a goldfish feels. But there's the smell of barbecued meat in the air! Ooh lala! Haha checked into our 1 star hotel. The hotel's pretty good just that there's NO LIFT, so we had to drag our luggage up. Major nightmare. Haha but the room's pretty good for one star. Just that the blanket looks like a carpet from the 80s XD. From here it's F&E time. YC went to check out the malls and sights to visit and we're on the road again. Went to this nearby mall and there's like ZERO shoppers around. Went straight up to the top level and there were like more people in the arcade there than the whole mall put together. Haha then we tried their pizzas. Pretty good and dirt cheap leh! Like $1+ for a personal pan-sized pizza. We were their first customers of the day n_n.

Went to check out their supermarket and we were like sua ku there, the people laughed at us T_T. Lol. Went for dinner at this seafood restaurant by the river/sea(??), and the service is totally awesome man! We ordered like seafood hotpot, beef, shrimps (they call them shrimps not prawns and I don't know why but we find it freaking hilarious! LMAO!), legs (that's what they call frog legs!) and 333 beer! Haha they treat us like royalty la. YC even took a picture with the waiter guy, think he's gonna get promoted thanks to us. =D We gave him tips for excellent service! n_n

Took this cyclo thingy back to the supermarket to get mineral water before heading back to the hotel. The cyclo thingy is like damn fun!!! It's like a modded trishaw only thing it's pulled by a motorcycle, Ru and I sat on the safer side, YC and Bobo sat on the risky side and they had to like hold on for dear life. Haha we laughed and screamed our guts out, but yeah it was better than a rollercoaster. =D The uncle is DOPE!

Checked out the next day and a friendly ang moh helped me carry my luggage down cus' I was on the verge of rolling it down the stairs. Haha very gentlemanly. Weee~* We didn't wanna have the free hotel breakfast so we went off on our own. Street food rocks my socks! Dirty food=Tasty food. Haha we had like this baguette with egg and sweet kebabs thingy, and it's dirt cheap! Yummylicious! DOPE! Haha and their iced coffee! Tip: Don't stir all the sugar at the base of your glass, cus' it's highly diabetic, haha but nonetheless the sugar rush kicks in every time.

Took the river taxi back to Saigon! Went to Cho Ben Thanh, where Ru had a bowl of oil and I a bowl of smelly soup with noodles for dinner. Haha all the menus in Vietnam are in Vietnamese with an often inaccurate english translation. Haha so like I ordered this Crab chowder thingy with noodles, but when all our dishes came, we were like "Eh? How come all the soup from the same pot one?" Haha when mine came right in front of me, I thought I ordered a bowl of longkang water with noodles in it. The bamboo shoots were stinking the entire table man. So when Ru's 'bowl of oil' came, we wen totally berserk! Hahaha laughed our 6 pac out for the 136483th so far in our trip.

Bobo got her Weasel Coffee (they pronounced it as 'Whistle' XD) and YC got his Vietnamese jersey -_-". Lotsa imitation Adidas jerseys here!!! And their average price's like S$5.50! We had a field day picking out the genuine-looking ones from the lot. Haha but we ended up buying none. =D

Was it today that we walked to Saigon Square!?! Haha anyways, we took a cab to Diamond Plaza, and it looks so damned upscale, the prices there are like diamond standard. Haha they got m)phosis, POLICE and those branded whatnots in there. So we walked on to Saigon Square and we witnessed the Viets celebrating their football victory, they made it through to the quart-finals thanks to UAE's win against Qatar. Haha Ru and I were like sitting by the fountain cus' the whole of Vietnam seemed like they gathered here. People were honking their motorcycles, beating drums, shouting and cheering. It was crazy man, YC and Bobo dragged us into the crowd and we were like taking pictures with the Vietnamese. People were dancing. Haha it was reaally crazy, totally fun! Got stuck here for quite a long time before we walked somewhere else to cab back to the hotel. It's gonna be a loooong day next day since we're on a road trip to Da Lat

Day 4 - Saigon to Da Lat

We booked a Mercedes Benz minivan and we got a toyota something something. Haha but it was still spacious and comfy. The guide's really nice! And the driver's better than InitialD laa, pro at cutting lanes! Haha so we rarely get stuck in traffic, which is good. XD

On the way we went to 2 waterfalls, I forgot the name of the first one, and Prenn. My first time seeing a waterfall! It was freaking nice, and we paddled near the waterfall, went behind the waterfall albeit screaming and laughing and AA-ing the entire time there unknowingly. Ru was like screaming laaa, haha poor YC. Pity his eardrums. XP

Went to see Crazy House, it's like something outta a fairy tale. It's this tree like architecture, and it's a guesthouse, created by the daughter of the 2nd Vietnamese president. Haha we totally went crazy after that man, exploring the nooks and cranny of this crazy building.

Stopped by a restaurant for lunch, and the portions were generous. Forced Ru to have her greens since all of us knows that she didn't shit for 4 days running! Hahaha so yeah throughout the trip we kept forcing her to shit, and she's the official Pang Sai Queen. Holy shit! I think the shit in the vein thingy (thanks to YC)'s freaking funny!!! Hahaha ZOMG!

Reached Da Lat! Checked into Dreams Hotel, and it was a dream come true! The hotel's so cosy and the temperature in Da Lat's like 18 deg celsius, and there's a jacuzzi and the people are really nice. Free breakfast here rocks! Missing the laughing cow cheese, the omelette! OMG! I wanna go back there! The air here in the highlands like so freaking fresh! The clouds here look like cotton candy, so fluffily white! It totally didn't feel like we're in Vietnam at all, more like some European countryside. Ahhh Da Lat's paradise. Pretty pretty flowers blooming everywhere. Feel healthier just breathing the air here.

So we went off to check out the market nearby and you can see people selling baskets of strawberries like everywhere! Durians here look HUGEEE! Everything's so cheap here it's unbelievable. We got silk paintings!!! Later Bobo wanted to go back to the hotel to rest cus' she wasn't feeling too well.

We went off to look for dinner and ended up getting pastries and soya bean milk at a roadside stall. So niceeee!!! An ah pek chat with us. XD Ta-paoed soya milk for Bobo. Had my first ever taste of bird!!!

Then, 3 of us fools stupidly rented a triple bike. I swear the whole of Da Lat knows us man, we were trying to learn how to balance and we fell like in the middle of the road, laughing and tearing and screaming. Haha YC steered so he took the front seat, I got the middle and was responsible for cycling, Ru's the pillion. Haha poor Ru had to carry my inflatable elephant balloon toy. So like we finally learnt how to balance all 3 of us, then when we cycled along Xuan Huong Lake, YC was like asking us if we were alright, then I asked Ru if she was alright, but there was no reply laaa, it was then that we realised Ru jumped off her seat somewhere near the bicycle rental stall! Hahaha we laughed like crazy there laaa, so we cycled back and spotted Ru carrying my elephant by the bus stop looking aimlessly around. LMAO! Hahaha freaking hilarious.

Lol. So all 3 of us cycled along the perimeters of Xuan Huong Lake, it's a 7km long. It's freaking scary and cold cycling along the road with the traffic zooming right past you. The night breeze is freezing us up. Haha so we stopped by a bridge to rest. I realised my bag was kinda wet and sticky, so I asked YC if it was mud or something then when I opened my bag, I was freaking shocked. The 2 packets of soya milk actually 'exploded' in my bag laaaaa! So all my stuff were like ruined, so we sat by the road near the lake, laughing and tearing, literally rolled on our backs laughing la. The locals were like looking at us. Hahaha we must have looked so darned pathetic la. Ru kept laughing, and YC poured out all the stuff in my bag, and my passport was intact thank God! Hahaha I forgot how long we spent taking photos and laughing there before we finally cycled back. Lol. But it was one helluva experience man.

On our way back, we kept lamenting why in the world did we choose the triple bike over the horse carriage laaa! Haha but looking back I'm soo glad we chose the bike XD. I lost my footing on the paddles at one point, and this Vietnamese cycled past us and imitated me by 'air-cycling' laaa and his friends were like laughing. Grrrrr. Hahaha oh well, at least everyone's happy. Bobo sms-ed us to ask if we got her soya milk, and we were like yeah it's all over my bag. Hahahaha

Finally went back to Dreams Hotel after a very eventful first night at Da Lat. And I got like major cleaning up to do! My passport got a lil' of soya milk, and everything smelt like soya beans! I actually scraped off some beancurd off my bag!!! Can you imagine the milk turned into curd!?! Lol. Totally wasted when I finally got to bed. Zzzz...

Day 5 to 11 - To be continued. Watch this space. =D

OMG. Bear with me fellas XD

After 11 days surviving the crazy traffic, police raid, being called in Nha Trang's airport, celebrating with the Vietnamese people for getting through in the AFC group stages at Saigon Square, eating street food, polluted air in Vietnam, I'm finally home! But yeah, I really do miss Vietnam already. T_T Too many things happened, I don't know where to start. Shall update more once I got my pics! n_n

The past 11 days had been one helluva roller coaster ride for all 4 of us. Heck. Even that is an understatement. Lotsa fun, interesting and sometimes dangerous stuff happened to us like every single day. Laughed a whole lot throughout the trip with 3 great travel mates, fun to play with and good to rely on. Since Roo and I aren't very good decision makers nor map readers. => Sheesh, wonder where all that Geography went? Lol.

From Saigon to Da Lat, Da Lat to Nha Trang, then from Nha Trang back to Saigon again. God we did a LOT of travelling. Vietnamese are really friendly and hospitable people. And I met a very special friend on the last day. Lost my mobile and he helped me so, so much at the police station. Without his help, I'd be lost and scared to death there since the inspector doesn't speak English. Thank you Pham!

Haha and so yeah, I'm back safe and sound in Singapore, chao tar, fitter and without my handphone! T_T Haha but the laughter, experience and all the friends we made were more than worth it.

Oh yeah! Many people guessed that I'm from Japan or Korea! And I'm only sweet 16 =p Haha Roo must be so pissed cus' she's from Hanoi. XD

More updates here once I get photos! Check this space y'all!

Ahhh missing Vietnam! Bring me back!

Watched HP and the Order of the Phoenix with Bo, Roo, Yu and Aunty Lum. Was a lil' disappointed, didn't feel much climax (if any at all), well I guess there is but not like dramatic kinda drama you usually get in movies. But hell yeah, the fight scene (just 5 minutes packed with beautifully natural and believable CGI effects) saved the entire movie. Poor Sirius. But the way he died, kinda hard to get sad, like we merely went "Wah. Just like that?" I think deep inside me I want to believe that he'll come back somehow.

Bo passed me 20 packets of milo. Love milo to death.

Watching Jamie Oliver now on ch 16. He's now a farmer as well as chef. Today's featured ingredient: peas. Why am I even blogging this? I don't know. It kinda calms my nerves and jitters when I go braaaahhhh. Lol.

Oh yeah yu, roo and I got a ****** each. I feel like I bought something illegal. Lol. Glad I survived that ordeal. =D

I miss watching Anthony Bourdain. There I go again.

I am gonna miss my family and friends here in Singapore. Heck. I am missing you guys already. Okay, shall not emo. Just wanna say I'll really miss y'all. Take care yeah?

1/3 of the space in my backpack's filled with food. God I need to like repack tomo. Meeting my aunt at 10am to get towels, USD and stuff. Sorry for all the trouble I've given them due to my stupid mistake of sending in me timesheets late, will return them the money ASAP cus' I promised to pay everything in this Viet trip meself =D. And thank you, you and you for helping me.

Oh boy I've got an ulcer in me mouth. It only hurts when I touch it, the problem is I can't stop poking at it with me tongue. Why!?! I don't know either!

Shit. Just realised we forgot to take some pics with The Simpsons. T_T

Vietnam in 2.5 days.

Why 2.5? Cus' we plan to camp over at the airport since our friggin' flight out's at 6am at the crack of dawn, read: Fall in at 4am or Tiger's gonna fly without you. Grrr-8. I guess we'll prolly end up totally wiped out the first day in Vietnam, post-camping-at-airport syndrome. Lol. So option A) Camping B) Driven to the airport at 4am. Grrr I hate making choices. Well, sometimes I do I guess.

Have some things to update. I think I should change my blogskin, getting a lil' bored with the white. Hmm 2.5 days, I might come up with something. Might. Should I go white or...drop me a tag if you have any suggestions. Any would be nice. =)

Finally met up with me vulture mates to celebrate Shimmy's birthday albeit being a teeeeny weeny late =) We were supposed to meet at the Sakae joint, 6.30pm. Well, at 6.30pm I was still stuck at home desperately trying to patch my present to Shimmy. The thing went horribly wrong but Shimmy if you're reading this (haha are you?) just wanna tell you it's coming! Rushed outta the house totally pissed with my own stupidity, should've paid more attention during Home Ec class T_T Finally got my butt outta the house and reached there at 8.15pm. I remembered cus' Shing told me the buffet's till 9.30pm and I calculated I'd be left with 1 hour 15 minutes to launch my attack on the conveyor belt.

Got off at Tanjong Pagar totally lost. Have I even been to this place!?! Seems vaguely familiar but it was kinda dark, the streetlights did little to help and there I am outside the station facing this cross-junction and I am seriously late. Perfect. Haha but Shing said it was at the CPF building, ran back to the uncle who was giving out flyers (8.15pm at very ulu-looking Tanjong Pagar, mind you!) and asked him where it was. Went totally blank when he merely pointed to the sky and went "Neh." -_-" Lol finally understood what he meant when I looked up. Fair enough, that stupid CPF logo was staring down at me. Spotted the Sakae sign and poofed in.

Haha me vulture mates were already resting their bloated tummies when I finally arrived. The food walking around the runway was pathetic. Haha props to Shimmy (B-Day girl) for spotting my hotate sushi! I can go crazy on wasabi, soy sauce and hotate sushi alone. Seriously, try hotate sushi and the wasabi-soy sauce and you'd have died and gone to heaven. Added in my entries into Shimmy's Cui You Ji and presented it to her! I don't think I ate a lot. But the lychee ice-cream mochi and me mates made up for it =D Oh yeah must thank the poor aunty waiting our table cus' we kept pestering her for refills and stuff XD

Many thanks to my aunt who came to help pack my bag! Haha and many, many hugs to my family for 'sponsoring' me my travelling expenses, cus my agent confirmed that my cheque will only come in on the 16th (will be day 2 in Viet by then). Thanks all for the well wishes and concern, I will have fun and take care of myself folks! No worries =D

1/3 of my bag space is taken up by food by the way. So yeah I'll be well-fed. XP

Liverpool made some pretty neat deals. Hmm next season's gonna be interesting. ;)

Isohexadecane.

07.07.07 Live Earth

http://www.liveearth.org/

some people have grumbled about what the purpose of wearing green is. The thing is, it's not just about wearing green, by doing that it's the very first step to saving our Earth: 1) Create awareness 2) Action. But of course, we only have ourselves to decide if we wanna take that very first step to doing anything. Enjoy the 24hour concert and don't just sleep on it, cus' yeah the Earth keeps spinning, we keep wanting and consuming things, and sleeping on it just wouldn't improve the situation. Like the ads say on TV, "Global warming is REAL" folks. I mean, for the sake of humanity, and the fact that planet Earth is the only place habitable for us Man, isn't it sufficient reason to do something? It is never too late people, take baby steps let yourself adapt if means changing your lifestyle.

Woots. Now watching the concert live from Japan featuring Xzibit, waaaay cool. People, let your words and wearing green materialise into something tangible yeah? Thank you. Dang, don't you just wish Captain Planet makes a guest appearance now? In the past when I'd religiously catch every Captain Planet epis, it didn't really dawn on me that it could be so real, but then I was prolly too young to understand how it'd eventually affect me in the long run. Climate change is happening now folks, and maybe...just maybe, in the not too distant future, The Day After Tomorrow isn't so tomorrow anymore. Act now. Do more, use less. Spread the word.

I really wanna watch Captain Planet again, maybe they should revive the cartoon series or make a movie man, Spider Man...Superman...Captain Planet's my man when I was a lil' kid. XD

And here, I present to you
Captain Planet!

"EARTH!"
"FIRE!"
"WIND!"
"WATER!"
"HEART!"

"Go Planet!"
"By your powers combined, I am Captain Planet!"
Captain Planet, he's our hero
Gonna take pollution down to zero
He's our powers magnified
And he's fighting on the planet's side
Captain Planet, he's our hero
Gonna take pollution down to zero
Gonna help him put asunder
Bad guys who like to loot and plunder
"You'll pay for this Captain Planet!"
We're the Planeteers
You can be one too
'Cause saving our planet is the thing to do!
Looting and polluting is not the way
Hear what Captain Planet has to say!
"The Power is Yours!"

Hahaha it's kinda cheesy now, but like how I used to be when I was younger, I love shouting out that song, "Earth! Fire! Wind..." and point an imaginary ring to the sky. Ahhh...childhood~

6th July 2007 Shimmy's 20th Birthday Celebration

I had a blast yesterday with me vulture mates! Went to Tanjong Pagar's Sakae buffet, haha I was 'a little' late, but yeah everything turned out so much better. Shimmy loves our Cui You Ji, and yeah for that smile of appreciation, it's worth more than a million bucks man (is it?) hahaha but yeah it felt so good to have heart to heart talks and pour out everything, man it felt better than good really. Love you people!

Haha Shimmy's funny lar, she saw the departure time for last train home and it was going towards NEL. Alas, Ah Shing and I clean forgotten to note our last train home XD But yeah we chat while we walked, and we walked while we chat. Got slurpee, man it was MORE to getting slurpee than we initially thought man. Lol but yeah to avoid public humiliation, shan't go to that =) Rested tired feet (not mine n_n) at this Macs and it was gonna close for the night, but heck we just wanted to stop at some joint. Lol it was really messy, trays of leftover food scattered on tables, yeah and as Ah Shing commented, it really was like those old school fast food restaurants that you'd find in old school movies like Grease man. Smarty pants us conveniently took a tray from the other table and yep gave ourselves a right to be there =D

Moved off to the bus stop outside and continued chatting, just chatting in the night breeze was awesome. And it was the first time I saw people cleared garbage from the roadside dustbins, yeah and you thought the rubbish just mysteriously cleared up themselves ala Hogwarts style? Haha cheers to you people. Saw the lights go off in Macs then saw them go on again hours later. Took a cab back, haha Ah Shing you know the cab driver kinda got lost in your carpark! Haha XD Really felt good to let it all out, chatting, sharing problems, giving ideas, cheering one another on in the hum drum of life, this little things really go a long way. =)

Reached home at 3am, and boy it was a good night's sleep. But sorry Bobo can't change money today cus' I still gotta chase the agent for my June's pay XD

And Shimmy's pressie, gotta redo it all again. =D Love you all people! Just want you to know that.

On Torres in a Liverpool jersey:

Like finally, seeing Torres in a Liverpool jersey isn't a dream anymore! Haha I don't wanna be bimbo-ish here on my own blog, but yeah I gotta admit he looks so darned hot in OUR jersey man. Gonna cheer him on to net more goals for us next season. Tora tora Torres!

And ANDRIY VORONIN is our new nmber 10! Coming to England after 12 years playing in Deutsche Germany must be a pretty big move for that bloke. But yeah Liverpool fans are world famous for their undying support for the team, so he'll settle in no time. Welcome aboard! And go grab them goals! But yes I'm still sad at Garcia's move to A.Madrid, he's a really creative player despite him being smaller than the blokes and him falling down like a bowling pin so easily, I loved watching him play. All the best Luis!

You'll Never Walk Alone!
