Weeee ~* Finally went to AMK today! Wanted to get something but didn't get it in the end, so me Mee, Snowman and I went to check out the newly opened megamall, boasting Singapore's LARGEST NTUC, called NTUC Xtra. Xtra floor space, Xtra goods and stuff, but really copy Carrefour wholesale. Creativity: 0. BUT before that we went to grab lunch at S11, and I got something SUPER OIISHI to recommend to you guys!!! Super CHEAP AND GOOD!!! The stall's got a super cute name also: Don Don's Japanese Cuisine. The S11 is the one near Jubilee, near the playground. I ordered Japanese Curry Chicken Set, and there's a side dish of fried tofu and miso soup, all for just $6!!! And there's a salad at the side, and they even throw in wasabi and soy sauce. So yummylicious I think I'm in heaven when I got my first bite. See below! MUST TRY LAR! GO TAKE CAB TO AMK S11 NOW!

Like very high class right!?! Like in Ajisen right!?! Yeah lor yeah lor! Go eat now!

Haha walk walk and guess what I found in AMK central? I found a Song shop there too! Haha and of course CHEAP and GOOD Queen here must grab some good buys, I got a Aeropostale (I think I got this American brand wrong) polo Tee and a pair of jeans all for only $18. Jeans $10, Polo Tee $8, okay I'm in heaven again.

When we finally got to NTUC Xtra, after climbing a flight of stairs, walk past Bossini and many, many, many empty shops (still renovating), then took this travelator (it felt like eternity on that thing, and what's funny is that you can see all kinds of people in the next opposite lane, and all of us are looking at one another, and there were several awkward glances), and there were people along the way standing BESIDE the NTUC Xtra THIS WAY sign, pointing towards the right direction and murmuring "ntuc". Wah so good they get paid standing there and murmur "ntuc" leh! Why don't I have such good lobangs you tell me??

Finally saw the obscenely humongous NTUC Xtra, it's like glowing from afar, haha crazy la I mean it's really bright in there, you know last time HDB uses this ultra bright white flurorescent lights, glaring *_* First impression: I'm in Carrefour. Haha people mountain people sea, and guess what we got from there, we were there for I think less than an hour cus' people are herding one another towards the Exit. And so, we got 3 mangoes ($2.80 each I think it's very bo hua but my Mee insists it's AIR-FLOWN from Australia) and 6 pairs of *ahem* (very cheap lor! $3 for 2 leh! Cute some more! Too bad we don't wear them on the outside, not unless we're Superman), and a Tee for $8.90! Ahhhh~ Float to heaven again. Today's theme seems to be: Cheap AND Good. 幸せですね!

The *ahem* circle, see! Super 可愛い:

Half a day 'hiking' in AMK feels like some total body workout, so girls shopping should officially be declared a SPORT lor. Weeee~* Tomorrow gonna go for countdown! Let's rock it people~

=3

Rented DVDs, just finished "The Omen", the plot's pretty intriguing, when it was nearing the end, we got a little psychotic and were chanting "Stab! Stab! Stab!", we wanted the man to stab the son of the devil to death! That little boy (son of the devil) killed his Mum and stuff! Burn in hell! But the ending's disappointing cus' his Dad (the man who was about to stab him to death) got shot by the police instead. Wasted! -_-" And he freakin smiled in the end man! Argh! I really felt like squeezing into my TeeVee and give him one tight slap. Arrrrgh! Cool down cool down. Dang! I'm gonna watch The Omen II !!!

, 12:20 AM

Watching this Korean horror film called "The Phone" or something, the little girl is kinda funny cus' this ghost possessed her. So she's speaking and acting funny, she's in love with her Dad, what a funky concept.

There's a pasar malam near my house, I think it's around 2~3 km away. We 'trekked' from home to the pasar malam, then back home then walk to Blk 400+ to return VCDs that we borrowed yesterday (horror films, Shutter and Red Shoes). Don't ask me why, but we just felt like scaring ourselves silly, I think it's something to do with the chilly weather. I got the least ever amount of food from a pasar malam! I'm so disappointed with myself! I only got takopachi and the Taiwanese Yan Su Ji a.k.a salted chicken. In my opinion these 2 are a MUST-BUY in ALL pasar malams. Bought tapioca cakes for Mee but she says not very nice T_T, she's so Yim Zim (Cantonese "fussy"). Haha but never mind, she da pao-ed sushi and green tea from Sakae sushi, so yeah I'm pregnant with food now. I bought a very tribal bracelet from pasar malam very cheap, and the feel's right so I bought it. And I saw a $10 imitation Liverpool jersey that isn't too baggy, versus the $89 jersey, which should I get? [T_T] tough choice. One is cheap but not very good in quality, the other is expensive but quality is very good. Hai~ Why can't it be cheap AND good??

Looks sucky in the pic though. -_-

Okay and so after switching from BBQ countdown to Yuki Yaki countdown, now we're back with BBQ countdown again. Hmmm I think I can be a BBQ chef. And I'm gonna sponsor sparklers, since my mama shop sells them. Haha don't know if there's gonna be sotong and stingray though. [T_T] Haha nah it's okay, as long as there's satay! *slurps*

Going down to AMK Central tomorrow, hope my sis won't be lazy tomorrow so she can lead the way, cus' she knows where that shop is, otherwise I'll ask her to draw me a map. But it'd definitely be better if she can lead the way personally. Besides, we can check out the Megamall in AMK, is it up? Hmmm I shall find out tomorrow.

Holler~ Yesterday Roo asked me to check my results then realised that I'd forgotten all about my exam results. But I wasn't mentally prepared to check so I finally mustered enough courage to do so this morning. I think I'm very heng, or maybe the Astro Prof is very, very kind to me/us cus' my astro scraped a pass lor. I tikam-ed about 80% for my MCQ, then the short answer questions I crapped my way through, honestly, reading the notes don't really help, especially when you mass pon your lectures like me. I'll try to not pon any lectures or maybe pon lesser next semester, I promise! Okay so here goes: Astro C+. HL101 A. HL102 B+. HL104 B. HW101 B. Try to do better next sem! Ajia ajia! Ganbaruyo! Grrrrr Fight-O!

My blog picture is the shitty imageshack logo. I think it's cus' of the Earthquake cus' the pic is hosted by some other country...hmm oh well. Haha

Was mindlessly surfing the web when I came across a freaking hilarious picture of this teenaged Nepalese boy who actually thinks he's the Buddha reincarnate. I mean if the picnture of him was one with a glow or holy aura around his head, clean shaven head, and all decked out in white, I'd have been taken in by the whole Buddha reincarnae thing, but just look at his picture lar! Machiam like some garang guni man like that, no...I think our garang guni men look more presentable lor.

Then according to claims by the Nepalese village, this Buddha boy reportedly rejected water and food for MONTHS, MONTHS leh, in Hong Kong movies thought the monks they all also got eat this white color pancake thing, so how can not eat la you tell me. PLUS! He's a teenager leh, puberty stage! Stupid liar, how can lie about such sacred stuff. E mi tuo fuo~

Now, let's see the 'Buddha Boy' below. Disclaimer: Please do not have any food and/or drink in your mouth/hand/anywhere near you/computer/laptop when you're seeing this.

Went to jalan jalan at Vivo today, albeit the very wet weather. Dad was giving us a treat, haha actually wanted to go look for the pizza restaurant that Kelvin Tan recommended that day, but I forgot the name so we went to Food Republic instead! I luvu luvu the decor, ambience, food there! Reasonable prices! Haha and CHECK OUT the western food cashier! He looks like Wu Zun man! Cutie~ Haha ladies help yourselves to some eye candy! It's FREE! Lol. Oh yeah and I'm gonna buy the 2 mini schnauzers at the pet shop there!!! That is if my folks strike the lottery~ =D haha

Check the view from the bus-stop just opposite our house. Football field, nice and wet *winks winks* Haha

This is like my NEW favorite snack that I discovered in Candy Empire! Arnott's TeeVee snacks! So cute right the name? Haha bend your neck to check the pic out lar! Move your body a lil, c'mon don't be lazy! XD

Neh this damn ex hippo kinder bueno that my sis bought, $6.50 lor! Expensive leh! Only gives you 5 sticks of Hippos which isn't a lot, by my standards, mine only $3+! But hers air-flown from Germany~

Got this moisture lotion from Daiso, made out of Rice Wine! Sounds pro right? Very cheap too, $2 only! MUST grab! =D

Check out my handphone accessories: Melissa (Xinyi got it when she went for a holiday) + No. 1 handphone accesory = Melissa is Number 1 !!! Haha got that no. 1 thingy from Daiso, $2 a lil steep right? But it's unique so I got it. =D

Haha outside Food Republic, one of the guys from FR says that all the vendors get their rice from here, then they'll use it to cook and sell to customers. Don't believe me? Go ask one of the FR peeps!

I SAW LIVERPOOL JERSEY WOMEN'S CUT AT ADIDAS @VIVO! $89 only! MUST SAVE MUST SAVE! I shall eat lesser then buy!

Haha had a fun day today! Cheap AND Good buys + Cheap AND Good food = Fab Day! Haha I got long socks from Daiso, can wear tomorrow when I go ice-skating with Snowman! So long didn't see Snowman! Haha Snowman goes ice-skating~ Then Friday meeting Bobo for badminton, can test drive my badminton racquet that I got for Christmas~ Weee~ I love sports!

Oh yah ask you guys! Can you see my blog pic? Or is it the image shack thingy?? Haha give me some feedback then I see what I can do~ =D Thanks! If cannot then view with Firefox! n_n

, 4:03 PM

Sorry folks MIA-ed for...lemme check *tabbing* a grand total of 5 days. Haha so it isn't that long, but it did felt like this <---------------------------------> long. Missed you guys, anyone missed me? Haha awwww~

The weather's been amazing in evoking this Christmassy and festive mood right? Yeah albeit the mess and trouble's the rain been giving us. Haha okay updates updates!

Went down to MOS with the peeps to support Moldy's SIM-UOL bash! Haha I haven't framed your Glitterati ticket yet, but soon soon! LOL haiya I think I shall just laminate it then, can't find a customised frame that's the same size. =p Haha okay first impression of MOS: Looked kinda like those haunted mansion in theme parks (they occasionally spurt out smoke from 2 pipes), the main area was pretty small but I guess it's okay cus' they branch out to other rooms with different themes and stuff. Haha too bad, no pole nor cage dancers. XD

Haha drinks were pretty good before they got diluted of course! Music got better and better and better well into the night. Haha seems like everyone knows Roo's signature 'freestyle', and even found a potential partner, a.k.a. Kukuman! Haha funny man, Kukuman kinda put me off a little, but well they made a perfect couple man! Lol. Thanks to the guys for 'protecting' us =D Thanks to Yu, Roo, BH, Bro Bear, K.Tan and peeps, and most importantly Moldy for the event! Haha will support more of your events in future cus' fun fun fun! =D

Weee~ Finally met up with Shirl and Uncle on Christmas Eve help me tell Tim Tim I'll be back on May oh I know he missed me so hahaha XD, and got a cute pressie! Hehe and *winks winks* Haha gonna go Vivo later for a post-Christmas feast. =D

And now, saving money for the New Year Countdown at Huiyun's house! Stingray, sotong *drools* $_$

Wednesday, December 20, 2006 , 5:32 PM

I just came back home after a torturous 4~5 hrs 'camp' in the hair salon called MyHub (haha I've even thought of a jingle for them, sing "My hub~ my hub~ my hub~ my hub~ Check it out" to the tune of "My Humps" by Black-eyed Peas). My sis wanna rebond her hair so I went along with her and decided to dye my hair and cut a little. The people there were real friendly! I forgot the name of the guy who cut my hair but he's skills are pretty fab.

Customer service there was superb, cus' he brought me a stack of Lao Fu Zi comics, and when I shifted seats, there's this very nice auntie who'll bring them over. Yeah, so within a span of hours, I read like 4~5 volumes of Lao Fu Zi, sometimes I dozed off in between. He thought I was a sec school kid so I just played along, too lazy to clarify cus' the blowdryer's too darned loud. Haha XD

It's my first time dying hair at a salon, so naturally I was a lil nervy at the beginning, and I was on the verge of laughing my ass outwhen he started wrapping my hair in polysterene paper, you know those you wrap your sandwiches in? Haha I looked like an alien lor!

Then after wrapping right, he set this machine on, it's shaped like a big 'O' and it 'orbits' around my head (wrapped up), and it's emitting heat the whole time, I think I know what a baked potato feels like, pretty much. There was a couple of times when my head got too close to the 'O' machine, then the wrapping sorta got stuck to it, so I gotta jerk my head forward abruptly to release myself from its 'grip'. LOL. Pretty awkward position. Cool experience all the same.

After an hour or so, this Malay guy on crutches came in to do his hair too, his hair's uber cool lar, AFRO HAIRDO! Haha I think he really wants that haircut lor, he came on his crutched leh! Think they should give him a discount for sincerity. Haha oh yeah, he was there to dye his hair.

Woots~ Then it started pouring and it felt so comfy in the salon, and I drifted in and out of sleep several times. Ahhh~ Overall, it was a fab salon experience for me, shall go there to trim/cut/whatever my hair there in future. Nice service reasonable price, only $65 lor! Sleepy sleepy now! z_z

You Are Blitzen

Always in good spirits, you're the reindeer who loves to party down with Santa.

Why You're Naughty: You're always blitzed on Christmas Eve, while flying!

Why You're Nice: You mix up a mean eggnog martini.

You Are a Snowman

Friendly and fun, you enjoy bringing holiday cheer to everyone you know!

You Are 64% Gross

You're pretty dirty, and there's a good change you're living in a total dump.

And your body? Not too clean either. Watch out for killer bacteria, Pig Pen!

How Gross Are You?

Shucks. Looks like heaven's got a broken tap, cus' it's been pouring all day. So I switched to the lazy mode and watched Hana Kimi Episode 5 since it's out today, hot off YouTube! And...did some crappy but fun-all-the-same tests from blogthings. Haha well, helped to perk up a rainy day. Go and give em' a try!

Liverpool's gonna face off against Barca in the upcoming Champs League match! Boy oh boy! I hope I can get to watch this live! Go Liverpool! Though I'm partial to Ronaldinho, Messi and Deco! =D

Saturday, December 16, 2006 , 9:04 PM

Went straight to meet me vulture mates last night, in short it was WILD and FUN. Agreed to meet up at around 5~6pm, Ah Shing was interning (glad it's getting better for you already bud) so she said she'll be there around 7pm. Peeps were at Heeren, on my way from Taka to Heeren, those lights were mesmerizing, albeit the fact that they were like Shing said Deepavali-ish, and there were kids, families and people taking pictures everywhere. There were many displays of christmas scenes, figures of baby Jesus, the 3 wise men, sheep and many others along the way. Ahhh and the air was cool and nice, breezy walk to Heeren, though it was a lil paced since it's Friday night out. Was so excited to meet me mates, and I guess I got bumped around a couple of times, haha oh well, rugby training. Haha but it was all smiles, no sorries needed, all it takes is a smile >>> =D

Haha finally seen them!!! It's been so long since I saw them! Ahhh sheer bliss~ LOL. I told them I wore a red top and looked like Santa Claus, distributed candy canes, which added to the Santa Claus-ness. Haha and we're good to go, EATING that is. We dined at Vill'age ( the imitation Marche right down to the COW and the deco! Food and ambience was AWESOME!), and we were promptly seated at the very Yeeha place, like some cowboys cabin. Yeeha~ Felt so good to be seated around a table (it was a tad too small, think they underestimated our eating prowess), the gentle and cosy orangey light! And we were sitting near this WALL OF WINE, ahhh ambience...checked! And we literally CHIONG-ED to the food lar, carrying our cards eagerly, circling around the area (yeah all vulture-like) , finally we got chicken breast (portion's pathetic, and we made a lil dirty joke about the breast *winks winks*), rosti and this sauerkraut-like HUGE sausage, seafood baked rice, seafood platter, pizza and washed them all down with Snapple for our FIRST round. The table was a lil too small for all the dishes lar, LOL RM said the plates were gonna slide on the floor. We sweeped through all the dishes lar, which brings to mind "Gone in 60 seconds". Yeah! We were THAT fast! Everyone were like ok ok this eat liao then faster go on to the next dish, so we decided we need to slow down and relax. LOL. As usual we laughed a lot, and even coined Shimmy a new nickname, but we didn't really feel full lor! If Zhiling came along we could order one more dish, and eat a lil more cus' Z-Link is human, and we're vultures.

Then this cute guy (Vill'age staff with a microphone attached) came and asked us if we would like to join this competition that they were having, so Xinyi (she confessed in the toilet post-battle, LOL)
said OK then all of us kinda said yes not knowing what we just got ourselves into. Haha then the guy told us it a wine-stomping competition, in collaboration with the wine festival that they were having). WINE STOMPING LEH! Thought this kinda thing only happens in movies one!?! Haha anyways, one really does the wildest, craziest, funniest stuff in the world when you're with great pals lar. So, in the end, I went into the barrel with grapes, and our opponent was...how should I put it, she was a worthy opponent, we were saying it's like kids (us) vs adults (them) lor. Haha 3...2..1 GO! And I really used all my milk-drinking power to stamp on those bloody juicy grapes lar, vultures and humans alike were busy squashing grapes with their hands also! Shimmy was holding onto the wine glass, and alas! We lost. Haha but it was all in the name of fun, and we even got a $15 cash voucher! Haha I wore sneakers w/o socks, so I hope they won't use it to brew wine lor. XD

Tired after that work-out, and also financially stronger by $15 we rushed off for desserts!

YAY! And I officially declare that the Chemist
ry band is back! And we're gonna do a trance remix of Di Nu Hua (the very well-loves Cantonese opera song about 2 star-crossed lovers) and Ammonia ala collision course style. Woohoo ~ It's gonna be HOT.

And we spotted a Christmas tree with SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS deco, and another one with a water feature at the base lor
! Kao, damn nice! So we crapped and laughed like there's no tomorrow on our walk to Robinsons to look for Cheryl, Guess was having some sale there, and there was this denim and leather (should be faux leather) wallet with some nice bling-bling accessory. Cool and rugged. Wooh~ Then we continued to walk towards to Dhoby Gaut MRT station, passed by Istana and here we gave Shimmy another nickname, NATIONAL GARDENER for ISTANA! Haha, Shimmy it's nickies galore man.

Wooh~ More outings next week with Vult
ure gang! Weeee~* Bliss~*

Then today we were bakers for a day! My Mum wanted to bake ONG LAI TARTS (Christmas leh!), so we finally did it today! Ummm the dough was made by my Mum lar, BUT I rolled the ONG LAI and put it on the pastry. And my Mum made some without the ONG LAI (just the way I like it!). SO NICE! Yummylicious!!! Next week I'm gonna chiong for the oven! My choco chip cookies!

Weee~ Pictures of the Ong Lai baking:

Our masterpieces! Our baby ong lais! <3

Baking in process ~*

Tadah! The mastermind! Our oven!

This is a prelude to tomorrow's post on today's outing, waiting for Shimmy a.k.a. Camel, LOL kidding lar you looked great with uber long lashes bud! Haha stay tuned ~ My legs and eyes are protesting, think they should rest now cus' it's friggin 2:06 AM, otherwise my Mee's gonna stomp in all bleary-eyed and say "Still don't sleep ah? Later bao bi." LOL. You know recently got some young people died in their sleep and stuff? My Mee's so cute she thinks they bao bi cus' they always sleep late and stuff. Haha I <3 my Mee for her tardness sometimes. She insists on making Ong Lai tarts for CHIRSTMAS! Who makes pineapple tarts for CHRISTMAS ONE?? LOL. MY MUM LOR! Haha I requested her to make some w/o the Ong Lai filling cus' I only like to eat the pastry part. WHenever I eat ong lai tarts I'll leave the pineapple filling behind and put them back into the tin =D I know I'm an ambassador of hygiene 8+D

Asian games are officially over, and I'm still wondering how in the world Qatar can win Iraq in the soccer finals (gold medal match), HOW CAN!?! Thought Iraq is ranked above Qatar in the world ranking!?! Haha and after 2 weeks of Asian Games, I feel like doing badminton (cus' of Aiying's stunts), bowling (cus' I think Remy looks uber hot when he looks dead serious when he bowls, my cousin is a national bowler la but why is he not as hot so I can boast to people!?! LOL), swimming (cus' Li Tao won gold for Singapore!!!), shooting (missed the shooting competition when I was an NPCC kid) and also kayaking (mainly cus of the sun and the sea).

CONGRATULATIONS to TEAM SINGAPORE FOR OUR GREATEST MEDAL HAUL TO DATE! I SUPPORT SINGAPORE'S SPORTING SCENE! Eh I didn't geh geh lor. I watched LIVE soccer matches like Tiger Cup and another dunno-wad Cup with Roo in Kallang lor! And I really stay up to watch Asian Games la!

Wooh~ BTH I really must zzz alr...dog tired (why dogs huh? Cats look more tired than dogs lor?)

Nights every buddy ~*

Thursday, December 14, 2006 , 8:51 AM

Weeee~* Finally, a post! Haha and so the Advanced 'Health Promotion Board' Budget X'mas Potluck Party has come to a close on 10th Dec 2006 at Bobo's house (very nie of her to ret out her house, haha been there 3 times I think for badminton and stuff). It was uber fun man, and as usual I was A LITTLE late. =D Yeah when I say a little, it REALLY means A LITTLE. I actually lugged my Chocolate Fountain machine all the way to Bishan (isn't very far on the MRT map, but try travelling on public transport with that helluva bulk, lar! Haha but boy it was worth it!). I thought it'd be a good opportunity to try it out, since Bobo is an expert at machinery and IT stuff.

Got all our ingredients at NTUC, bought PURPLE potatoes for the mashed potato dish (looked like yams in the end cus' they're well...pretty much purple), strawberries and kiwis for the choco fountain, marinated chicken wings (sponsored by Xinyi's Mee) and all we had to do was pop them into the oven (healthy right? That's our HPB theme), spaghetti and bacon in tomato sauce, cheese omelette and ham, unagi+tamaki+salmon sushi (sponsored by Bobo's Dee), a bottle of red wine sponsored by Bobo's Dee again, Taiwanese sausages (LOL I know how weird this sounds ~). Most of the stuff (I think it's everything lor!) were prepared by Bobo, pro in cooking some more -_-" I did the cutting, chopping, washing of pots, hai, why you all don't believe I'm a good cook!?!

Haha shall upload the weird PURPLE mashed potatoes soon, really looks like Yam lor! And Xinyi's Mee baked the log cake herself leh! Log cake leh! Very yummy, so chocolatey but the slightly mango-flavored cream takes a little getting used to, but it's so good lar I tell you! We didn't get to eat the ice-cream, potato chips cus we were too full already by then, haiya should have opened the chips while we were watching Star Awards, but we were busy dipping stuff into the choco fountan! Haha Roo is disgusting lar, she dipped almost everything into the choco, Taiwan sausage, sushi etc... -_-"

And I got Huimin's starfish bookmark in the $3 budget X'mas gift exchange thingy, Huiyun got mine (a Japanese charm and Winnie the Pooh>Gacha item), Huimin got Roo's or Nana's I think it's a cute notebook, then Nana got Huiyun's Andes chocs I think, Yu got Bobo's HUGE powerpuff girls pen, so HUGE lar but very cute man. Yu should consider using that in the exams next year. =D

Had a great Pre-Xmas party, haha although I ended up broke but it was well worth it cus' this party was discussed and planned ages ago. And so, I'm broke this week, yes BROKE =,( I only have a little cash left in my EZ-Link card? Haha oh boy, oh boy~* I gotta give tuition next year so can have some extra moolah, I wanna contribute too! =D

Ah Shing's birthday is coming soon ~* Cheers! Shall save some $$$ when my next allowance comes along, can make a birthday card in the meantime, shall buy some prezzies for all of Vulture gang members too!

Moldy's bash @MOS is coming soon on 21st Dec ( 1 day before Ah Shing's birthday =D ), Yu confirm going so I'll be going to support Moldy too! One free drink and another freebie, right? Haha, freebies~*

And finally, Christmas's coming!!! Love it love it love it~* Join in the Christmas Cheer!

I read this article in the papers yesterday and they recommended these awesome websites where you can download free stuff that's really uber cool to have on your PCs or lappies. I downloaded some like Souptoys (these toys that you can have on your desktop and play around with them), DesktopSidebar this is the bomb man! There's a clock, weather, a slidehsow of all our pics, stock market, PC/Lappy performance, Newsroom, Media Player and Quick Launch. Best part is you can even change skins for your sidebar! See screenshot below! Take a look at the Souptoys and Sidebar at the far right of my desktop!

11 Days to Christmas ~

Friday, December 08, 2006 , 11:47 AM

Yesterday was Subject Registration Day and was so darned disappointed that they scrap Forensic Science. Now if you ask me, I'd scrap Astro there and then without a doubt. Waiting for add-drop period now so that I can change my elective choice no. 1 from Physics in Sports (yeah after watching Asian Games really jolts me back into sports again) to Japanese Language Lvl 1. Must chiong during add-drop period!

Okay, forget shitty academic stuff. It's the Asian Games 2006 that's waaaaaaaaay more important!

Singapore Headlines: Li Tao clinched Gold in 50m Butterfly!!! GOLD dammit!!! And she broke the Asian record!!! Watching the victory ceremony, our flag right smack in the middle and slowly rising up and our national anthem playing in the background, man that was so...inspiring. Against the likes of giants Japan and China!!! And she's only 17! And Singapore's shuttler Xing Aiying matched up against S.Korea's Hwang H.Y. in the women's badminton singles quarter-finals, we lost by one game, but that was helluva match. And if you ask me or that VERY ENTHUSIASTIC commentator last night, Ai Ying really played waaaay better than the Korean, she made some minor mistakes here and there and that cost us the game I guess. BUT, Ai Ying's skills is SUPER AWESOME! I love her drops and her backhand sides! See below picture for her signature backhand sides, really take the life outta her opponents man! She's my badminton idol and she's only 17 years old for Doha's sake! And we clinched Silver Medal for bowling, still have more to offer from our bowlers. Girls clinched Gold for bowling few days ago. All the way Team Singapore (eee kinda cheesy)!

Something really sad happened though, the 47 year old S.Korean rider competing in the Equestrian Games died after he fell from his steed. His neck was reportedly crushed under pressure from the horse. It was raining then and it was really muddy and stuff and horsey kinda lose his/her footing, leading to his/her rider's death. Really sad, can you imagine the impact of death in the Asian Games? And it actually occured within a matter of seconds, and there's nothing you can do to stop it, really. I guess they could well have prevented that tragedy from happening, they could have revised the conditions of the pitch and postpone that segment? *sighs* I guess stuff like these do happen even today, I mean you'd expect stuff like these happen almost regularly in the primal times during the early years of the Olympics or something. Condolences to his friends and family. I hope they don't put horsey to sleep though. It was really muddy and gooey all over.

Been following the Asian Games and today's the most dramatic and happening so far. More games and medals to come~ =D

Pictures:

Look at the angle lar! Genius man Ai Ying! Backhand sides = Ai Ying!

Yeah and can you imagine how she stretched her body like this for her backhand sides!?!

Li Tao with the Gold! Wrong mascot, but same medal lar. Cuz' I can't find a good one from the Asian Games 2006 gallery. =D

Went to Vivo to look for jobs with Bobo and Yu. In the end, all we did was filled in ONE application form for this Kinokuniya-esque bookstore called OnePage or something. Haha hope we'll receive some good news soon!

Gonna look for jobs tomorrow with Bobo and Yu (to be confirmed?). Haha Shimmy and Xinyi I'll ask Shirley if there's any vacancies in UOB after my phone's all charged up yeah?

Been taking lotsa ample rest and doing budget shopping, watching Ouran High (highly recommended by Tiss) and Hana Kimi ( a Taiwanese idol drama series adapted from a manga of the same name starring Ella and Wu Zun!!!). I absolutely <3>

Been craving for Famous Amos cookies! HOW!?! Should I go get a bag!?!

Haha oh yeah! I've been watching the Asian Games! The opening ceremony was awesome lar, loved the Asian Wonders segment (composition by our very own Dick Lee and Ishkandar Ismail), the Arabian horses part and the many many weird weird scientific apparatus and the falcon flying down part. So nice man!

ahhh~ Watching these games makes me feel like playing badminton, volleyball, table tennis!!!
