Miracles do happen if you know where to look, and if you keep believing. =D

Whenever I watch a Liverpool vs Chelski match, I can't help but visualise the rich kids vs the grungy kids around the block.
Yeah, the full time score came up to 1-1. Which is totally unfair for our side. And I thought Essien picked up a 2nd yellow card!?!?! Darn it, Torres superb goal at that freaking narrow angle went right into the bottom right corner of the net. Went berserk. Ahhh~ The atmosphere at Anfield is so homely, sang along to YNWA too. Lol. Must do my pilgrimage there!!!

After the second half, referee ruled Finnan's challenge a foul and gave freaking Chelski a penalty kick. Lampard delivered. Dammit! I HATE ROB STYLES! Classic case of referee kayu lar! How come we always get victimised by bad refereeing!?! Finnan's was a rightful challenge lar, okay never mind watched the replay, he didn't do anything!!! The whole of Anfield boo-ed at him. So civilised, in Singapore, the fans will shout "Ref kayu!!!" or even worse, the legendary "But*h". Lol. Go figure.

That bloody referee is pretty notorious lar, why in the world was he selected to ref this kinda big game? At a point in time, I thought he wanted to flood the entire Anfield with his yellows. Tsk tsk. Chelski's Moaninho or that rich oily man prolly bribed the ref with a big, fat cheque. Booo! Disgrace to FIFA's "Fair play" stance.

But Liverpool's got a good start this season. The time of the Reds has come!

Happy happy! The missing piece to Anfield is finally answered in the name of Fernando Torres! He inherited the legendary no. 9, donned by Liverpool greats like Ian Rush and Robbie Fowler, both goal-scoring machines in their heyday. Remember the legendary Owen-Fowler combi? Ahhh~ They were unstoppable. Go Nando!

I can't help but gush over Torres!

Look! Even Chelski wants a piece of him...

Poor Finnan. We know we know the referee kayu-ed. We're on your side.

Watched a lil' of Man City vs Man Utd. Haha props to Man City's defense and that deflection. Lol Fergie's expression when he thought Nani's shot went into the net? Priceless.

Mum slipped and fell at home the other day. Scared the shit outta me, I'd never seen anyone fallen so seriously except in an ice hockey game. She slipped and fell on the back of her head. Called my aunt over for help. Grabbed a plastic bag and filled it with ice, placed it on her head.

My aunt drove her to the polyclinic. Her blood pressure actually shot up to 190. But the doc didn't seem very professional, the nurse came in halfway through the consultation and told him "Your umbrella." It was obvious they wanna rush home. He referred her to A&E. On the way to Tan Tock Seng, we got Mum to relax a little. Finger massaged her, her hands were cold. I was worried sick. Everything happened so fast.

Only one person was allowed in with Mum, so I sat at the waiting area. I just stared at the television. On retrospect, I think they placed it too high up. Lotsa injured and sick people were rushed in by paramedics. Tried to think positively, but the ah pek beside me kept sighing. Saw a bangla worker with a gash on his cheek, nurse was putting pressure on it with gauze. It was raining outside.

Finally came out, doctor said she seemed fine, like she can balance, think straight etc. Cannot stop tearing when she's given the green, was holding up so many emotions inside throughout the entire incident it was crazy. Gotta monitor her for the next 24-28 hours to see if she experience any giddiness, vomiting etc. All of us slept together in the same room that night, brings me back to my childhood years, how my folks would sleep over with us when we had the pox or when we were ill. So glad that she's fine. It was kinda traumatic, hope nothing like this ever happen again. Came out of it and realised the importance of cherishing your loved ones. Please get well soon Mee!

Went to the temple at Bugis to pray the next day.

Everything will be fine, as long as you look on the brighter side.

Happy (advanced) 20th Birthday Nana!

Aston Villa 1 - 2 Liverpool (FT) edited

DOUBLE BLISS!!!!

Met the peeps at Central. I thought I was gonna be early for sure (for once). Haha then I received an SMS from Roo on the way. Reached Clarke Quay station, and I turned right, and I stared at the signboard, it says "Chinatown" and "Eu Tong Street". OK. I thought I was in twilight zone, cus' it didin't look like Chinatown to me! No chinese calligraphy on the floor! So I took the escalator back down to the station again, and I saw the sign to "Exit G". Phew. What a scare. Lol!

When I walked into The Central, I saw many groups of people looking lost also! Cus' most of the would-be-shops were boarded up, under construction. So you can see people reading maps along the way. Woohoo so I'm glad in the knowledge that I'm not the only one lost. XD So I called Roo and she directed me to the second floor, where Manhattan Fish Market is. Finally found it! And we say fireworks from the window at Mahattan!!! Haha so we told Beina it was a special arrangement from us. They happened to be playing My Heart Will Go On XD And it ended as soon as the fireworks boomed its last. How coincidental!

I'm touched that Nana and Yu knew it was Honey senpai I drew on the card! T_T Hahas

Hmm they fired up our seafood platter, and let's just say it doesn't make it any more delicious. It seems more like a gimmick then a culinary enhancement to me, at least. And the calamaris are a whole lot smaller. French fries? I'd say Fish & Co's a whole lot better, not as dry.

I didn't take any pics of the food!!! Cus' I polished it off as soon as they arrived. We asked for more Tartar sauce, and the waiter's damn funny, he filled the entire sauce bowl up and it almost spilt over, it looks like a cupcake really. Haha!

Roo and Bobo filled the peeps up on our Vietnam trip! T_T But I still think it's a lil' over-dramatised lor!!!! >.<

Went off to get a drink to cool down. Weather's pretty warm lately, so folks, please drink more water yeah? Took some pics along the way then stopped by Coffee Bean. It was kinda stuffy in there, so we moved to the Al Fresco area by the Singapore River, Roo and I sorta settled in but cigarette smoke spoilt it T_T so we moved along to our next waterhole.

Hahas it feels like deja vu walking along Clarke Quay! It's like we went back to Vietnam!!! The restaurant staff were asking us to go in and get some food. The only difference? They didn't play the guess-our-nationality game! XD Lotsa indian restaurants there. AND AND AND! I saw a LiverpoolFC-themed pub there!!! There's like banners reading "East Anfield this way" and stuff, and you can see people wearing our jerseys waiting for our first EPL match against Villa to kick off. Ahhh sense of belonging. But alas, I'm outnumbered by Manure fans. XD

We reached Raffles Place unknowingly, so we finally decided on IndoChine. Along the way, we met with a very pissed ah pek. -_-" Hahaha! Coconut!

Reached Indochine! We spent like a looooong time ordering our drinks, so this Indian waiter seems a lil' impatient. Finally decided on Long Island Tea, I know I know, but it's my favorite drink laaaa. X) Safest choice also, value for money, since it's served in a tall glass. XD The peeps ordered Martinis and Mango Margarita for Bobo. Long Island's still my 1st choice. We were sweating like there's no tomorrow.

Rushed back in time for the last train home!!! Haha what to do, I'm but a poor student. Best thing is...I AM IN TIME FOR LIVERPOOL'S FIRST MATCH AGAINST VILLA. Got to see the new boys like Torres and Babel in action. I've a good feeling this season! =D *fingers crossed*

I think the scoreline's gonna stay 1-0 74 minutes into the game. Villa's Young looks impressive. He's my man of the match, yeah over Gerrard, he's got some nice chances and crosses, but yeah Young's impressive. We got lotsa chances as usual, converting them into goals is the key. Well, I'm okay with the performance so far, prefer the first half though, for once. Haha Villa's got lotsa fouls. XD

You'll Never Walk Alone!!!

Okay, pics of the day:

Aston Villa vs Liverpool updates!

After the 1st half, Villa got a penalty 6 minutes before full time and they equlized with the Reds. BUT! Gerrard curled in his almost-gonna-be-trademark free kick into the top right corner of the net. Unstoppable!!! AWESOME! It's the exact same curler he did in the Port of Rotterdam Cup against Shanghai Fairytale! Hahaha okay Man of the Match's gonna be Young (Villa) vs Gerrard (Liverpool) which Stevie Wonder's gonna get for his winning goal at the 87" minute. XD

Ahhh~ YNWA again!

This is a special post to wish my country, Singapore, a very HAPPY 42nd BIRTHDAY!

Happy National Day everyone! Sing all the national day songs with gusto and pride, dres yourself in red and white, watch the merlion spray water into the sea, hear fighter jets zoom by and go "Must be for National Day one". Whatever you do, take time off and commemorate national day. A special day when we declare ourselves independent. We've come a long way in an amazingly short span of 40 years.

Now, a national day special from me to all you people out there, maplestory style.

How it all began...

While waiting for a cab at Raffles to marina bay...

Flagged a cab!

Tempers fly when you've been waiting for hours for the parade to begin...

So, like a true blue Singaporean, what better way to while away time by grabbing some food?

Laksa, Hokkien Mee, Chai Tao Kway, Cicken Rice, Satay, you name it we've got it...

But our love for this lil' island city goes well beyond its food. Happy 42nd Birthday Singapore!

p.s. rain rain go away!
