My upstairs neighbors are gonna be the death of me, they seem to love D.I.Y a LOT. There's always something to repair or drill. Oh yeah they seem to have a personal gym too, cus' there's always the sound of a dumbell dropping from above, and the dragging of their laundry trolley(?) across. And they almost always DIY their home in the morning, just great. -_-" Okay okay they seem to be toning down...

Moving away from my neighbors, I have thrilling news! I'm going downto the National Stadium for the AFC Championship Finals 1st leg with Bobo, Ru and Yu! Thailand are tough opponents, both physically and mentally strong. Keep your fingers crossed today everyone~*

Darn it! They're at it again -_-" Boy, are they screwed up or what?

Was so shocked when I heard that Taiwanese actress Xu Weilun passed away a day or two after a serious car accident. She's only 28 years old! I'm not her fan, nonetheless I feel kinda shocked and sad, she's a human being, at 28 life is just beginning to take off, you wanna go out there and achieve your dreams, get a stable career, have a family and kids. It's really saddening to see a life gone just like that. Makes me cherish my life and the people around me more cus' life really is unpredictable. If you're reading this, please say a lil' prayer for her and her family and friends/fans who must be bereaved right now.

Woo~ I can slow down and take a rest at long last! Haha I went for the ASEAN Football Championship Semi 2nd Leg against Malaysia on Saturday with Bobo, Roo and Yu. Then went to see Fahrenheit's autograph session yesterday, I think I tortured my legs real bad. =(

Fahrenheit Autograph Session @IMM

Can't believe we actually wanted to meet at 7am! Haha but cus' Ron went for the S.H.E. concert and me for AFC, we slept in late and met later. Walked to IMM, we didn't know where the event was so we were like looking for the stage, haha and they were another group looking for it too, lol it's like Amazing Race lar, see who gets to the place first. Haha eventually we lost sight of them and found the queue. It was only 11+a.m. and there were so many people already! The event starts at 6pm! Haha then Ron's friends joined us, they're damn funny, especially the 'part-timer', cus' the security people told us to leave the area behind clear, our part of the queue ended at the door opening to the rubbish disposal area lar, haha but people Q-ed in ahorse shoe shape, obstructing the staff's way. So the security Ah Neh kept shouting at us to sit in 2 rows, he's like a discipline master lor, but people kept coming in to queue at our area, so the Ah Neh rounded them up and led them to another area (near the carpark). But people keep coming to our area, then Ron's friend the 'part-timer' and some others wrote a sign on a Macs cardboard "This is the end of the Q please turn right and Q outside the carpark". Haha damn funny, so when people come in we had to tell them since they always walk over the sign.
-_-"

Haha free entertainment as we waited. Went to ta-pao LJS and bought this $1 cross stitch thingy to pass time, haha but we gave up on it eventually. We made friends with the two girls in front of us, then they help us get ice-cream from this machine. Haha all four of us went to check out the length of the Q, and it's absolutely crazy! It was only like 1~2pm and the Q had already snaked outside the carpark, around the parameters of IMM and towards the taxi stand near Coronation Rd. Debut autograph session and the Q's madness already! Fahrenheit is really popular man, especially after Hana Kimi. Haha then there was another group, one of the girls didn't have an albm to autograph so we borrowed an album from them. The people there were very friendly lor, haha. Then the Ah Neh kept telling us to stand p shift in front, then later tell us to shift back to our original spot again, and all of us were like -_-"

Alamak I feel so overaged (but I'm not the oldest there leh! o.0!) when I see primary school kids coming to join the Q, haha so pai seh! Then this group of people very cunning! They actually cut Q (they didn't wanna Q in the 3rd Q section) while the Ah Neh told us to shift in front then shift back again! We couldn't find the Ah Neh to chase them away lar. Hours later, Rachel went to look for Ah Neh and he chased them away! Haha then all the people cheered for the Super Ah Neh! Super funny! XD

Weeee~ 6pm! Stood up and went into the barricaded area, some people wanted to climb over lar, but Super Ah Neh was there to save the day again! =D Fahrenheit came finally after God-knows-how-many false alarms, SO SHUAI LAR WU ZUN! And Yi Ru looked better in reality! Haha very sunshine smile! Wu Zum is so HOT! Forgot what songs they sang, cus' all the people were screaming and taking pictures and stuff. This is the craziest and most tiring autograph session ever, but it's worth it lar, can see and hear them sing LIVE leh! Haha then the autograph session began, but stupid me didn't the lyrics booklet! But I got past the 'customs' and stood below the stage area and got a good view of Wu Zun, Jiro and Yi Ru! Haha wasn't that interested in Ya Lun lar. Didn't get their autograph but got a visual feast instead, haha and I got a 'free' poster. XD

Ron helped me pass the card thingy to them. Ahhh~ Doubt they'll read every single card though. Cus' the taiwanese staff passed all the fans postcards to write messages and stuff since no presents or food items (obviously for Wu Zun) were allowed. Haha this will be the last autograph session I go to, unless it's Fahrenheit again! Haha later the cast of Hana Kimi will be going to Tampines Mall at 7pm, tempted to go but won't be going cus' I really need to rest already. Haha this is so friggin corny but I love Fei Lun Hai~ Someone kick me! XD

Wait for Ron to send me the pics! Haha lululu~

AFC Match 27th Jan 2007: Singapore vs Malaysia

Met the peeps at Kallang, the Macs that Roo and I used to meet before walking to the stadium was GONE! Cus they're gonna tear down that building, guess it's about time now cus' it's really old. I'll still miss it though =,( As Roo says, it used to be the hang-out/meet-up place for all Lions fans before matches. So met them at this kopitiam then set off to the National Stadium! We stopped by this Indian coffee shop and ta-paoed some drinks, the Uncle asked us if we were going to the BIG match, haha the old Indian ah pek is cute!

It started to drizzle a little, and I put my cap to good use! =D There were many, many Lions fans along the way, with the signature color RED! Reached the stadium and it was red all over, and there's this carnival-like atmosphere around, hawkers selling Singapore banners and hats, drinks, food! Haha we went to get the FREE Nike posters , it's red and white with a Lion motif on it, but it's kinda bulky though, but it's made of pretty hardy material. Haa off we chiong to grab good seats! As usual, we had to cross the 'customs' checking of bags and we finally made it through the gallantry and into the stadium! It was only 5 plus 6 and the stadium was already packed, the good seats were taken up mostly. But we spotted seats and got a good view finally! Haha we were sitting at 34B, favorite spot for all hard core fans, supposedly so in one of the Lions' blog. Haha the auntie beside me was real nice, she offered this plastic bag to cover my legs as it was still raining.

There was free entertainment while we waited for the kick-off, the malay aunties behind damn funny, haha quite hip also, cus' they know the song 'Smack That' by Akon feat. Eminem leh! Haha miraculously the rain stopped jut before the kick-off!!! Lotsa taunting of the M'sian players when they warmed up, singing ole ole for the Lions!

Singapore started off pretty well, dominating most of the possession, and created tons of opportunities for goal, we grabbed lotsa corners too, but they didn't fall through, cus' of no luck, poor finishing or the cross ended up a few yards in front of our striker and into the M'sian GK's hands. But they played well, agressive and grabbing every opportunity to bring us one up against Malaysia. But eventually it kinda slowed down a lil, and some of us were frustrated cus' we were so close to getting one!!! Haha we did the Kallang wave, it was a full house! So when all of us did the stomping feet thingy, it created the Kallang Roar (a phenomena last heard in the 1970s), you could actually feel the vibration as the Kallng Wave is sweeping towards you! Very very fun! For some reason you get high/excited when you look at the wave coming towards you and you're waiting to stand up and fling your hands into the air. Haha we kept scolding this Malay bad word 'butoh' and Boo-ed whenever a M'sian player gets the ball, dived, act or gets a free/corner kick. Haha taunting your opponents proved to be good entertainment!

At the 57" minute, Manan scored fo Malaysia first GRRR! It was so tyco, so weak, Lionel actually could have kept the ball but for some reason it slipped away and into the net, the ball was too slippery!?! -_-" Lionel didn't perform his best for me this match, he could've done so much better. Ridhuan finally equalised at the 74" minute with a solid header!!! Haha both sides were desperate for another goal, but it eventually stretched to a nervy extra time. M'sia are really pros at time-wasting man, and their players can go sign up to be stuntmen alreay lar, roll all over the place -_-". Haha it started to drizzle a lil' while we waited for extra time then stopped again, what's with the weather that day?

Both sides couldn't get a breakthrough and history repeats itself AGAIN! Like last Tiger Cup, PENALTY SHOOTOUT! I love and hate penalty shootout, love it cus' it's so darned exciting, hate it cus'...what if we go down just because of a failed penalty? Penalties aren't the best way to decide a winner. We were like watching the penalty shoot-out with our eyes half closed lar, haha Singapore scored all 5 shots and now M'sian Mohd Khyril Muhymeen came up to take the last spot kick and it really was the worst kind of spot kick, it was so weak and Lionel kept it!!! Haha and the entire stadium went bersek lar, many people ripped the free poster and threw 'confetti' into the air, jumping up and down, singing ole ole, WE FREAKNG WON MALAYSIA LAR! It's a MAJOR thing to beat your long-time rivals! Boy it felt good! Haha GO LIONS! Too bad Malaysia, you guys can balik kampung and cry~

Haha took some pics and finally got out of the stadium, where throngs of people were singing ole ole! Aargh I love watching live soccer matches! Cars were honking "Porh~ Porh~ Porh porh proh~ Porh porh porh porh~ proh porh~" and all of us responded with "Butoh!" hahaa. It started pouring and we had to walk in the rain, thank God Bobo and Yu brought along their brollies! Haha phew~ managed to catch the second last train back! Haha so high! Ta-paoed McChicken burger and yeah I balik kampung~ Haha

LIONS ROAR! Next up: Thailand. This is a big worry for me cus' it didn't help that we practically grew up on Thai Rice, and Thais are really physically very strong and aggressive, awesome stamina, very determined players! Oh well, I'll be down for the finals 1st leg!

Thursday, January 25, 2007 , 10:14 PM

I had a dream last night, it was an awesome dream. In it, I was running and running and...running, yeah all I could remember was I kept running throughout this dream, I was in a quest but I don't know what quest is it really. Hmm and it kinda included one of my Lit text books from last sem. Haha this was a special dream, cus' when I woke up, I felt...peaceful and tranquil. The dream was really awesome, I ran without the slightest tinge of fatigue, if I only I could do the same in reality, I can do all kinds of my favorite sports without feeling tired at all. Heck, I could go on forever...

I'm kinda inspired by this dream, I think I wanna do regular jogging, long distance running. Hmm Yishun Park here I come! Haha it's kinda cold lately, keep warm fellas~

Mum just told us of this really interesting piece of news, you know there's this still ongoing flood inn Malaysia? It's hitting them pretty bad, and there was this theory that one of the fishermen caught (and prolly kill it) this fish that looks like a dragon and it was thought to be Dong Hai Long Wang's son (you know Dong Hai Long Wang the Dragon King of the Eastern Sea in Journey to the West?), hence, as punishment for their 'sin' he caused all this floods. Pretty cool and intriguing huh? Haha I thought so too, the rational part of me believes that it's all bull, but another part of me's hoping that it's true. Hmm that'd be sensational~

Haha unlike the previous Tiger Cup (now known as the ASEAN Football Championship), this year, we're having some trouble getting tickets for the match, reason being it's one of those highly controversial matches involving Malaysia and Singapore! Battle of the Causeway~ Haha tickets are selling super fast unlike the finals last year involving Singapore and Indonesia in which we went on to win the Cup. Haha let's hope we can get tickets by tomo, it's selling out fast!

Tuesday, January 23, 2007 , 3:52 PM

Weee~ I'm so proud of myself today! I actually dragged myself to school even though I really felt like ponning cus' I wanna sleep in a lil' later. Haha but my conscience eventually talked me out of it. A semester ago, I'd prolly pon school without batting an eyelid, hmmm have I become more matured? Mummy will be so proud! Lol. Well, I saw some weird people today, first there was this auntie who looked to be in her 50s and she was biting on her passport, her hands weren't holding onto anything, so why in the world was she doing that? Hmmm. Weirdo 2, okay weirdos 2 and 3, weirdo 2 is this middle-aged lady, she's dressed like a teenager and she's filing her nails on the train, weirdo 3 is this middle-aged ah pek who kept looking at her doing the nail filing thing, weirdo 2 felt weirdo 3 looking at her so she looked at him, weirdo 3 immediately looked away and weirdo 2 continued to file her nails. Haha throughout my 1 hour long train ride to school, I saw 3 weirdos, so I wasn't bored at all (otherwise I'd curse myself for not bringing my player out).

Tomo's badminton day hope I can get my racquet back by today, and gonna buy the AFC Semi 2nd Leg match with Bobo too. Problem is I've bombed my allowance on the 2 polo tees that I got yesterday while out shopping with Roo and Bobo (at Bugis, supposed to find DRESSES but...let's just say shopping lady luck wasn't shining down on us yesterday =D ). Hahas but I got earrings, two polo Tees, Roo got an orange top (it looked smashing on her, how many can actually pull off an orange top la you tell me?!), Bobo got book covers (from elsewhere) and two polo tees too from Giordano! Ahhh shall negotiate with Mum for an advance of allowance so as to pay for the tickets, otherwise I'll have to buy mine on that very day outside the stadium! T_T

Haha good news good news! I'm gonna start my FIRST tuition job this Saturday morning! Haha which means I'll get moolah real soon! Haha I'll use the money to get train concession and save the rest! Haha as the day draws near, I don't feel as nervous somehow. Hmmm weird. But I'm still excited nonetheless!

Weee~ I feel so free with my 3day week, hence Mondays will be Shopping Mondays (going to Chinatown next week to continue our hunt, hmm Roo said somewhere in Chinatown's been reformed to look like Far East...haha shall check it out), Wednesdays=Sporting Weds?? Hahas~

Please Guan Yin Ma, please let Mummy advance me enough money to buy Yu and my tickets please! *I hope this works*

Sunday, January 21, 2007 , 10:29 AM

Weeee~* Liverpool 2-0 Chelski ! ! ! ! Lalalalala~

Haha all thanks to poor Carvalho who was down with high temperature, hmph in my opinion, I think he prolly chicken out of the big game, knowing very well that Liverpool's gonna beat them anyway. Hahaha poor Chelski, with so much $ in their hands, they don't seem to know that their main problem lies with their defence and centre back. *tsk tsk*

Kuyt is increasingly getting my attention in the LFC squad, he's got the eagle's eyes for goals lar, impressed. Haha thanks to Crouchy for the assist too. =D In LFC, it's all about the Teamwork (You'll Never Walk Alone~) unlike Chelski. I mean with Chelski where money talks, every player has to safeguard their self interests, wanting to solo every now and then so that their pouty manager will keep them. Hahas oh well, that's just my own lil' conspiracy theory. n_n

Oops! And Manure lost to the Gooners. Better luck next time Manure =D

Yeah! Next Saturday's ASEAN Football Championship (Tiger Cup) Semis 2nd Leg is SET! Haha it's at the National Stadium, Singapore vs Malaysia! It's one of those DIE-DIE-MUST-WATCH kinda matches! Weet~ $6 for gallery seats, $10 for grandstand seats. $2 complimentary tickets for students up to Polytechnic level. Haha so every Singaporean out there you're OBLIGATED to be present at this match! Ohhh~ I hope it'll be another milestone for Singapore's football history just like Tiger Cup 2005! Lions ROAR!

Hahas I'm gonna wear the free Lions Roar shirt that we got during the last Tiger Cup. But I can't seem to find it anywhere, never mind, rest assured that I'll be in RED. =D Ahhh~ So exciting! I wonder what's gonna be the final scoreline for Semis 1st leg!

On the eve of the match, I'll be going for Farenheit's autograph session! Haha yup I BOUGHT their album! Haha if you're reading this, yes you've just witnessed a miracle =D))) woots~* so exciting!

Haha better start reading up on my stuff. Tata people~*

Friday, January 19, 2007 , 11:39 PM

Haha Veron helped me to create another off day!!! So, I have like a 3 DAY WEEK NOW! I can't imagine I'm gonna enjoy a 3 day week from next week onwards! Haha happy happy! I love school! Always loved school! But my friends don't seem to be convinced about my 'passion' for school -_-"

Roo and I wanna go for summer exchange programme! Please NTU let us go please! =D

We actually survived the 3hr (it ended pretty early which is GOOD) lecture, ended at approximately 8pm, reached home at 9.30pm! Sleepy but they haven't decided where to go tomorrow! Hahas...we shall see

Wednesday, January 17, 2007 , 2:55 PM

Weee~ I'm gonna meet Vulture Gang for dinner later, so I'm pretty free today, considering all Wednesdays are my off days from this semester onwards. Oh yeah Oh yeah! I have a piece of good news to share with y'all! I've taken up a tuition assignment, my Aunt's friend was looking for a Chinese and Math tutor for her Primary 4 kid, I know this kid cus' I've seen her several times at my Aunt's place. Haha her name's Karinda, a pretty outspoken girl, pretty smart, but I've heard that her Math is in pretty bad shape. Oh no! Math T_T I hope I can pull through! Haha maybe they should put me on probation first and see how well I fare, if they think I'm okay then go on with tuition.

Haha I'm taking it so I can kick off my saving plans (NY resolution: Get a tuition job and start saving $$$). Besides, she lives really nearby, all I hafta do is take 804 and walk to her house. Grrr but I'm still a lil excited and nervy. Wonder how I'd do, I hope the kid likes me. =D It'd make my job a whole lot easier. Hmmm gotta ask Shirl about the rates and some tips and tricks of the trade. =p

I've decided to buy Farenheit's latest album! Well, I've not purchased any albums since God-knows-when, haha but I really wanna go for their autograph session, so yeah, I'm gonna BUY my FIRST album of 2007! =D Isn't that a feat? ;)

Wooh~ There's gonna be a tutorial tomorrow, and I'm going solo for that tutorial cus' I couldn't get into the same class as my friends' T_T hahas blame myself for being such a slow clicker =D Oh boy oh boy, I hope I see some familiar faces in class tomorrow, or I'm gonna say Hi to everyone and anyone I see haha. Well, it's a 1hr tutorial, and it's impossible to chit chat with your classmates cus' the tutor will be shooting all sorts of questions and firing all sorts of arguments and main ideas to guide your train of thought. Hence, concentration and focus is key which leaves little room for chit chat. T_T Haha the shittiest part is the 3hr break in between my lect and tutorial! Option 1: If friends' timetable coincides with mine, go for lunch together! Option 2: If friends' timetable clashes, still go for lunch then go check out activities ongoing on campus.

Haha all tutorials start this week, since I have 2 tutorials different from my friends, so that means I'm gonna make new friends this sem. =D

Shucks...I'm feeling a lil sleepy T_T haha

Tuesday, January 16, 2007 , 11:41 AM

First off I have a confession to make. Today, on 16th January at 10.30am I woke up and realised I've sinned! I woke up late (thanks to this stupid mistake on my part) and missed school as a result. One of my NY resolutions was to NOT pon or at least pon LESSER this semester, okay thank God I added the "pon lesser" clause in my resolution, otherwise I'd be damned! *phew* I feel so much lighter after making my confession clear =D

So...as promised I'm gonna blog about my adventures in Malacca, though we went there for only 2 days, nonetheless, it was a really unique and fun-filled experience =D So, *takes a deep breath* here we go~

A Day Before the trip:
I went to play badminton with Bobo as promised! But both of us concurred that we had a horrible game, with less than 5 rallies in a span of 1hr plus? Haha there was this bunch of old folks playing some serious badminton, and they were speaking Cantonese all the time, some bits of their conversation was really funny XD After that took a cab straight to my Aunt's house (it was raining cows and chickens), throughout the cab ride I was so nervy cus' I've only got a $10 bill in my pocket and I didn't know how much it'd cost to get from Bishan to Springside -_-" So throughout the cab ride I had to pretend to look at something and sneak a peek at the meter at every traffic junction. Helluva stressful ride -_-" Finally reached, and the meter read "$10.50"!!! I dug into my wallet calmly and found a 50 cent coin! OMG! I felt so grateful for that 50 cent coin! It saved my sorry ass! Haa. Watched Curse of the Golden Flower then it was lights out. Oh boy oh boy Malacca is a calling any time soon!

Day 1:

We woke up at 5am in the morning -_-" Not good. Haa but I got up anyway, washed up and stuff. 10 minutes later after much frentic rushing and stuff, the mini-bus (11-seater just nice for 11 of us, there's my Mum, Aunt, Rosemary Auntie, Auntie Chan, Kelvin Kor, his girlfriend Weiyun, Weiyun's younger brother and Mum, my sis, my cousin Snowman and I. It was so comfy in the mini-bus, we napped a lil. My Aunt brought along this Cantonese oldies CD, and all the younger people on board went like this ---> -_-". Haha hours later, we arrived at the customs, and the police officer scrutinised my face for the looongest time before he let me pass, I don't know why but whenever I go to the Customs or see a police officer face-to-face I'll feel a lil panicky, and no it's not because I've committed a crime, I don't even have bubble gum in my bag lor!

Haha hopped back on the mini-bus (MB) and shew~ off to grab some breakfast on Malaysian soil. Along the way, we saw the sunrise at the causeway! So beautiful we went woah and ahhh~ LOL. Reached the breakfast place, it was drizzling slightly and the place was a lil wet and grubby, haha I got myself 2 egg tarts helped out with one of Rosemary's prata and milo! Dunno why, feel a lil bloated already, my record-breaking appetite seems to be on a decline! Haha back on the MB and we were headed to our next destination! The Black Guan Yin Temple (built by Singaporeans ONLY for Singaporeans) so selfish hor Singaporeans we dun even wanna share our temple! No wonder M'sians hate us! =p The Guan Yin was really black! So we prayed for good weather cus' if it's raining we can't go to Jonker Walk (famous street market in Malacca), and I prayed tons of other stuff too! =p We took solo shots outside the toilet here, haha don't ask me why =D
Us outside the toilet =xD

Shew~ on the MB again off to lunch! Along the way, we saw how devastating the floods were, we could only see the crown of the trees and the kampong houses were like partially submerged, luckily we were on the highway.

The not so badly hit area

Chit chat, listen to MP3 (we were desperately trying to drown out the Canto oldies in the background!!!), and after countless times of us asking the adults "Are we reaching there already?" we finally reached our lunch place! We're gonna have some traditional Peranakan cuisine famous in Malacca! Haha the restaurant's called Bibik Neo (sounds funny yea? =p) The Asam fish, kang kong veggies, and othere dunno-what-u-call-it are seriously good lar! I'm missing the food there already T_T

Cutesy Bibik Neo =D

Yeah the eat-in-a-flash gene runs in the family =D

Don't belittle this tiny bowl of cendol! It's HEAVENLY I TELL YOU! Ahhh~

After lunch went back up the MB (very unhealthy right? Eat already sit =D) then shew~ Off to this apparently quite well-known honey shop. The guy who was bringing us around the shop telling us about how they extract the honey and all that blah, and he also told us about the wonders of Royal Jelly, honey and how to choose good honey and stuff. He actually studied about honeybees in Uni leh! And like any true-blue Singaporean, we were really waiting for the sampling part =D The honey is sweeeeeeeeeeeet and not that kinda yucky sweet taste, it's like you-wanna-scoop-more-MORE type of sweet! So Mee bought a huge bottle of honey mixed with Royal Jelly (Rm99 for that quite reasonable considered it's a HUGE bot) which according to him can help improve hormonal imbalance =p, some Propolis cream thingy for skin problems (really effective lor! Kelvin kor banged his forehead again a street sign and he blobbed some on it and it actually healed!) oh yeah this stuff is good and it's only RM18! =D

Back on the MB and shew~ off to see the touristy destinations in Malacca, like the Zheng He temple (San Bao dunno what dunno what), the Christ Church of Malacca (where all the buildings are all painted red, architecture influenced by Dutch, Portugese colonial era), the King's Well thingy. Along the way, tons of lame jokes, cold jokes, IQ jokes and tons of other jokes went around! Lol I'm gonna try some on friends some day! =p Haha the King's well's history was kinda stupid lor, the King actually built a well for his wife, I mean get her a diamond ring la for Malacca's sake, so giam! If somebody made a well for me, I don't think it's a very good gift lor. Hahas anyways, pics!

Everyone treating Kelvin Kor's wound!

CHARGE!

Me lookin silly in front of a church =D

Christ Church of Melaka! Tastefully old =D

A very flowery trishaw ride anyone?

See! They literally mean by pain the town red? =D

Checking out Cheap N Good buys! =D

Sis and I monkeying ard with the cam

Overshadowed by the background v_v

Ron and I cornered by paparazzi! But we still want ice-cream thank you! =D

Shew~ off to see the Zheng He San Bao dunno what temple, Zheng He's chinese junk museum (the museum is in this chinese junk! So cool! But we gotta pay RM3 for going in -_-)and King's well!

Sadako was sentenced to life in a well in Malacca! Very sad T_T

Look! They turned Zheng He's junk into a museum!

Hmmm wonder what lies within?

You really wanna know? Let's check it out...

What a nice piece of Junk =D

If you look closely you can actually spot Zheng He! =D

TREASURE IN ZHENG HE'S JUNK! @_@

Zheng He's boyfriends XD

3 of us a lil sea-sick XD

The woman at the bottom right made this look like a supernatural shot -_-"

After all the historical and cultural exposure to Malacca, we were all set to go SHOPPING at the Mahkota Shopping Malls! SO shew~ went to check in and check out our rooms in the hotel! Haha we got the apartment rooms cus' there were quite a lot of us. And we even got one helluva view from the balcony!

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~*

Island settlement =D

Diving platform XD Hello neighbors! =D

Me on the balcony! =)
Our room! =D

Check out the very pixellated videos for a tour around the rooms! =D We watched Spongebob cartoon there! XD

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sz-W_hHnwgo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5A1NruO3e-s

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvY4p-hcpow

Next up! We shew~ to the Mahkota shopping malls! Hahas I got some good buys there: a cap, a shirt, a jacket blouse, earrings, mini bolster, patrick key-chain! Haha Rosemary got everyone to buy one of those mini bolsters, so almost everyone had one =D Then we shew~ off to Jonker Walk cus' Black Guan Yin really didn't give us rain! =D

See that mickey mouse print bag? I got it for RM17 at Jonker Walk!!! =D

We had dinner at Jonker Walk, we sat by a road-side stall and it feels a lot like Hong Kong! Haha we had fried carrot cake, mixed dim sum oh-so-yummylicous! Then we shew~ back to the hotel room to rest, and we played Uno and ordered room service for supper =D

I love my supper!

UNO pack bought at Jonker Walk! Cheap but smells funny XD

Say hi to my mini bolster Poot!

Day 2:

Woke up pretty early and got breakfast buffet! Haha I love breakfast buffets! Tried the bread and butter pudding and yes I'm in heaven! =D

We crossed opposite (2 megalmalls just opposite our hotel!) to Mahkota again and walked around, the previous day Vivian Hsu was there to promote her album but we were at Jonker Walk then so we didn't get to see her =( Haha but the food was well worth it =D After that we shew~ to this famous Chicken Rice Balls shop! I especially loved the rice balls and each person was given only 5 rice balls (they look and bounce like fishballs!), in the end I had a total of 10 rice balls cus' some couldn't finish them, tsk tsk! =D

After lunch, we shew off to Jonker Walk again, they allow traffic in during the day, at night it's closed for the street market. I love the oldness of the place, really different! Ron got this tiny mahjong set! So cute! Only RM9!!! @_@

We shew~ off to another cendol place, haha Malacca's not famous for cendol for nothing! See that cutesy little holder, pretty smart! I prefer the previous cendol though, this was waaay too sweet for me, but...I finished it just as well =D We gotta buy cendol coupons and Q up for this cendol! *_* Haha then we bought some snacks and local produce back!

After dunno how long on MB, we finally arrived at Johor Jusco! That MEGA shopping mall, it's like VivoCity there man, maybe a little bigger, but we were only given like 1 hour there? So we only covered like a teeny lil portion of floor 1! Haha got some Dunkin' Donuts and basically went there to look see look see. The shops there are really spacious lor! And they have maaaaany sales assistants in one shop, service here is waaaay better than Singapore's here you feel pampered man! Haha sis got some MaCoCoa chco bananas, but I only tasted bananas leh! =p

After Jusco, it began to rain again, by then it was already 6~7pm so we shew to a seafood restaurant for dinner! But we forgot to take pics of the restaurant! =( Hahas I love the soup there, it's called Yat Ban Wor in Cantonese, very good for the body and oh so yummy! *slurps* I'm salivating just at the thought of it =p Hahas then we wanted to see if the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" is showing on Ch 5 so we asked the lady to change the channel, then realised it started already!!!

After dinner we shew~ all the way to Causeway, this is the first time we cleared the customs in record-breaking time man! There's no traffic jam along the way despite the rain. Haha and I saw Ramly Burger and the SBS bus service that goes to Malaysia! So the Driver Ah Keong drove us back home (right at our doorstep!!!) , and "The Day After Tomorrow" was still on lor! That's how fast we were lar! Haha ahhh I miss Malacca already! T_T

Bobo suggested us to launch a "A Good Deed A Day" project, hmm we're gonna start slow, when we're not free to do like volunteer work and stuff then we MUST do at least one good deed each day, of course we can feel free to do more if the situation calls for it. Haha I think this is a fab idea especially since one of my NY resolutions made for this year included a "get involved in more meaningful things" section. Haha I'm already feeling good about this, shall update more on this when we got this started! Watch this space!

My folks are now high up in the mountains, I mean in Genting Highlands. Must be having an awesome time, they rang just now, and they sounded like they were having fun. Haha then this coming weekend, I'm going to Malacca for a shopping-cum-foodhunting-only trip to Malacca, going to hit the megamalls there, hopefully I can get something cheap AND good and VERY wearablestuff there! Haha and finally, I've got a clue on where to get Visvim (a Japanese streetwear brand with a relatively huge cult following) shoes! Remember this pic that I posted a few mths back:

Haha so damn droolicious right this pair of sneaks? Aargh~ Visvim shoes are available at Gallery at Pacific Plaza! Haha but I'm going for a holiday this weekend, so GaB people going to Far East this Saturday can please help me go down to Pacific Plaza, the one opposite Far East, near Galleria, 2nd storey, go to the shop called "Gallery", and help me see if got this pair of white Visvims, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY help me check out the PRICE! Thanks~* =D

Today's my first day of school, great to see all the familiar faces, haha and the shagged faces especially when lecture has begun. LOL. I managed to make my Wednesday an OFF-DAY! *woots* Melissa's a very happy girl right now. =D Roo and I are gonna take some environment thingy mod! Slacker's mod since there're no tutorials. *double woots*

Ahhhh~ Sheer bliss~

Weee~ E4 peeps met up once again at WJ's house for class gathering, his family's really nice people, friendly and warm. LOL and must really thank them for not charging us for all of the BBQs. We were there earlier man, and WJ (the Host)'s not even there yet, haha kinda weird but we had fun playing with Lassie (dunno her real name), 'Ang Mo Kio' was an adorable little schnauzer, but he/she's unfriendly, keep barking T_T.

We ate a lot lor, especially US, haha after countless sticks of satays, sotong, jellies, cucumbers, chicken wings, fried rice, curry chicken, fruit juice, really felt the aftermath, BLOATED. Haha but it's nice to have old classmates sitting around, eating, chatting, laughin at the most mindless, trivial and lamest of things. Funny thing is the guys kept rambling on about NS life (who can blame them? I think in Singapore the most significant part of all males' lives prolly hafta be NS, it's a kinda bond, and a boyhood--->manhood kinda thing). Though there was no alcoholic drinks around, I think all of us got a little high, especially when we shared lil stories of our sec 1 and 2 teachers and classmates. Haha if whoever's reading this gonna have a class gathering soon, I suggest you guys play "Remember your classmates" game, cus' we had a hard time remembering the last 2 guys in our class -_-" the mystery was finally solved when Choo Kiat and Renmin remembered Choon Kiat and ...Siang Wee! Hahaha fun and funny though.

Went to collect and celebrate Mee's birthday today! Haha think it'll come to good use, especially when she has her migraines! =D Dee's bringing her to Genting for a short getaway this Tuesday and Wednesday. Haha I'm happy until...I realised tomorrow's BACK-TO-SCHOOL DAY!

Wednesday, January 03, 2007 , 2:16 PM

4~5 days before school starts and I'm still feeling lazy, so I requested Bobo to postpone the badminton meet-up. z_z Sorry Bobo, but this time I'm honest! XD

Mee brought me to Tiong Bahru Plaza yesterday to get me new specs! NEW specs, as in the whole works, lenses+frame! Woohoo~* We went there cus' we know the boss (my cousin's uncle), hehe and we figured we could get a discount. *smirks does a Gandhi stance and chants: Cheap and Good* I went for the eye check first, and I turned to tell my Mee shit cus' I'm so gonna screw up this eye test, thanks to endless hours spent in front of my Toshi without glasses on, sheesh. They didn't have my previous records, so she scanned my old specs and she agar agar knows my degree, so cool sia! Then I wore this pair of quirky specs thingy and flashed me some slides of random alphabets in this pretty dark room, it was a very interactive experience and communication is key here since you gotta constantly comment on the clarity and stuff when she changes lenses for you. There was several times when she flashed these rows of REALLY small numbers, and I'd tikam the first 2 and then go "3 5 dunno dunno..."

There's one thing I don't know if I'm happy/pissed, she asked me which JC/Poly I was studying in -_-" Then I said I'm in NTU first year, and she went "Huh!?! You're Uni student ah!?!" And she proceeded to drop the lenses she got a couple of times. Double -_-"

And everytime she switched to a clearer lens, I'd go "Woah! Very clear leh!", then the lady says "Yeah, see your response can tell you very long didn't wear specs, so suddenly very clear you keep wow-ing." -_- She's a pro I tell you. Then throughout the check I kept blabbering rubbish and she had to respond to me and chat with my Mee who kept asking her questions also. Lol.

Then she (I shall call her nice, funny lady a.k.a. NFL) flashed this slide which was split into 2 colored parts, the left was red and the right was green, then she asked me which color appears brighter to me. I really don't know leh honestly, they look equally bright so how? So i anyhow tikam and said green, when I said that she changed my lens, so I said red in the following color checks. =D *poof* I'm off with my eye check results! Errr but I still don't know my degree in both eyes. -_-" All I knew was our San Guang, I think it's astigmatism (right?hmmm) is a little more severe than most Singaporeans, then my cousin's uncle flipped through our family's records ( yeah all of us go there to butcher up some discounts =D, cheapo genes runs in the family it seems =] ), and said how unique we were (UNIQUE meh? Should replace that with suay), it sounded like the whole lot of us can be bundled up to some John Hopkins Research Centre and do a case study on us.

Weeee~* And this is the part I loved best (the most stress-free part)! Choosing frames! NFL asked me what kinda frames I wanted and I shot to the plastic ones, then she asked me "You really want the plastic ones? Cus' your nose bridge very small later very easy slide off" but I was determined to get plastics! Actually wanted to get black frames, but I dunno why my mouth-brain coordination prolly got screwed up and I went "I want red instead." -_-" Haha never mind, I told NFL it'd go well with my Liverpool jersey, then she chuckled and said "HUH!?! You like football one ah!?!" and she went on "You really surprise me a lot today" Haha so is this good or what? Hmmm. Finally I settled for this red one, as in the Anfield kinda red, there's 2 that I really fancied lar, but I anyhow see then settled for this one. Haha not bad, pretty funky I like~ Then she wrote down my eye check results on this chart thingy, and I was a lil pissed that my lenses cost only $50! Never mind, my taste is cheap and/but good! =D Wah and my lenses is $120, lol okay lar, that's like peanuts compared to my sis's $300++, but my sis's is really wu hua lor, air-flown in leh!

Yayness~ Walked outta the shop with the specs receipt in my pocket! Then Mee said she felt a lil dizzy, so we went off to look for a dessert shop and ordered Sesame with Almond paste ( ji ma hahn yahn wu in cantonese), very yummy but $2 for a small bowl is #@^#* Then I asked Mee wanna go home and rest, but she said she's okay then say "Cannot, must look see look see then go back." Haha she's a superwoman, she's my Mum. We went to check out OG (cus' got air-con), and we walked out with shoes for herself, my Sis a.k.a Nut (sleepin' at home ~_~) and myself. Nut's and my shoes were the same pattern, different color, at first I thought wah $26.90 then when we paid at the cashier, we realized there was a discount, so it's only $21.90! Haha yayness~ It's nice and comfy, made in Taiwan so it's gotta be good right? Lol. Off we went to da bao some dim sum: Veggie dumplings, fried dumplings, spring rolls, all of which are very, very hou mei! Got a bot of mineral H2o also, Mee said must buy some food so can munch on the bus, haha our family are habitual law-breakers la, shhhh!

851 passed by Bugis Street, then Mee spotted some teenaged girls smoking, and our conversation went like that:

Mee: "Wah! So young smoke."

Me: "Hannor. Too much money already."

Mee: "Maybe they work then need to smoke."

Me : "What kinda job requires you to smoke huh?"

Mee: "..."

LOL. So throughout the bus ride, we munched on grubs, I think we're pro finger-foodies, blabbed about everything and anything we see, and napped a lil too. There was one time when two ah peks sitting behind us were talking about Project Superstar (so hip lor!) and Ah Pek #1 kept saying the blind guy, CHEN HAN WEI sings quite well, LMAO he actually mixed up Chen Han Wei and Chen Wei Lian, so when they got off at Bugis my Mum said "Chen Wei Lian, not Chen Han Wei." -_-"

Weeee~ Sis's happy with new shoes. So we've got new 'school shoes', she started school today while I still have like 4~5 days of holidays left [T_T] I'll cherish what's left! Haha still happy though, cus' I'll have new specs and shoes for school! And there's 7~8 days left to the Malacca trip! =]

It's the 1st day of 2007, and if you're reading this, you should give yourself a slap on the back for a job well done/crossing the many hurdles and obstacles you encountered along the way in 2006. It doesn't matter if you suck sometimes, well cus' that's life, main thing's to "just keep swimming". A brand new year, a brand new start, uh huh all of us are given a clean slate to begin with. What picture are you gonna paint for 2007? Only time will tell, but it'd sure help if you've got a good start to begin your 'race' with. As they say, a good start is half the battle won.

Went for countdown party at HY's house, it's been so long since I last BBQ-ed something, haha and there was FREE entertainment throughout the entire night lar, especially the 'ka zuas' and bollywood music and atmosphere coming from our neighboring BBQ pit. Let's just say racial harmony wasn't the theme for the day. LOL it was especially funny when JJ an HY tried to block the baby ka zua from skate-scooting around our territory, in the end the baby ka zua K.O-ed us ramming over HY. Then one of them left their dirty plate on our bench, and more *ahem* attacks went on. LOL the music wasn't too bad though, was it? We didn't eat, we literally stuffed ourselves silly. Moldy's nutella choco banana concoction was especially fab, sambal sotong, sambal prawns, satay (we forgot about the ketupats and cucumbers though -_-), pork chops with miso paste, breadsticks, sausages (scary amount!)...and others that've gone down my stomach but outta my brain. Haha then it's back indoors for the countdown! Errr all I can say is...the countdown TV program's getting worse year by year, so yeah we channel surfed and watched Taiwan's instead, it was a whole lot better I mean Jolin, Xiao Zhu, Mayday etc, it's a no-fight. And we saw fireworks!!! Yeah that's how small our island is, haha we only saw the glare from the fireworks and heard the crackling, kena blocked by the opposite block hahaha. Thanks Bobo for the watch, thanks for reminding me to always keep track of time =D haha and not ex nvm it's the thought that counts!
;] Infinite rounds of card games began, it was Bluff first then Dai Di, Dai Di seems to be really interesting so I gotta master the art of Dai Di XD. Dai Di, lotsa MTV watching and lotsa crapping continued until like 6 plus in the morning o.0! and then we went off to get breakfast: 1 prata egg 1 prata kosong, omg I think I just blew the "eat healthy" resolution! [T_T] The curry was a tad too lumpy, haha sat there and chat away about stuff while the Sun was slowly creeping up on us, ahhh felt good to 'wake up' so early, felt fresh. The aftermath of prata: Indigestion and bloatedness for Moldy, Roo and I! Conclusion: we got traveller's diarhoea. [T_T] Finally got home and I can't fall asleep [T_T] so I'm here blogging. =]

My New Year Resolution 2007 (I can't believe I'm doing this even when I know I'll prolly fulfil like 0.0000001% of them? Lol oh well, it's a New Year tradition so here goes):

  1. Exercise more often, and more regularly

  2. Drink more water

  3. Sleep earlier so I don't screw up my bio-clock too badly in 07'

  4. Eat healthy=more veggies, less junkies

  5. Not pon/pon a whole lot lesser for next semester

  6. Try to read every lit text that's required and not just read the blurp

  7. Try something new (to get outta my comfy zone and experience anything new)

  8. Not to do last minute revision/assignments/whatsoever

  9. To be punctual

  10. To meet my mates like I've promised (this is beginning to be a horrible habit that's beginning to affect me and me mates, I've disappointed a few of my dearest buds and I'm disappointed in myself too, I've gotta kick this habit!)

  11. Tell/show appreciation for what my folks have done more often

  12. Have a regular tuition job and save more $

  13. Try to wear socks with sneaks

  14. Eat lesser but healthier, so that I can save more $ and shed some flab too ;]

  15. Uphold the Cheap and Good code of honor =D

  16. Go on an overseas trip

  17. Get involved in some volunteer work when I've the time

  18. Learn how to play Dai Di

  19. See Liverpool FC win the EPL/FA Cup/Champs League/etc titles

  20. To not screw up my 2007 New Year resolution

This is a really decent list this year and I'm gonna work hard on fulfilling each and every one of them, nobody said it's gonna be easy but hey, that's the whole idea: Push the limits.

ガンバルヨネ! All the way~ OOSH! Work it everybuddy~*

Oops gotta go brush teeth now~ Rest well pple ;]
