I'm in a daze right now, I can feel my heart in my stomach. I believe Manure has broken the hearts of all Liverpool fans tonight. :((((((((((( Hence, I'll just type down everything I jotted down on my soccer notebook. I'm unable to process any sort of thinking whatsoever. :,(

Manure 3-0 Liverpool

Manure kicks off.

[3"] Wah lau some Manure player falls down in front of Torres, obstructing him as he lurks in the penalty box. Kuyt does well to keep ball in possession in the face of 2 Manure defenders.

[5"] Rooney's 1 on 1 with Pepe and he shoots but Pepe makes a vital safe. WHAT A SCARE! Roo and Yu must be cursing. Some nice one-touch passes from Liverpool.

[9"] Rooney shoots on target after picking up the ball from a sudden surge of pace away from his marker.

[10"] Mascherano's yellow carded for a sliding tackle. I personally thought it was a legal challenge, yes he's prolly a lil' late on that challenge but it's legit to me. Thought he was a lil' too harsh on that one. Mascherano waves away the ref adamantly. Mascherano's got a fiery temper (as always, I think aggression runs in Argentinian blood). Commentator talks about rugby style code of conduct on the pitch.

[11"] Babel does well as he weaves past 2 Manure defenders, but ball play gets intercepted. Corner. Taken by Gerrard.

There's this moment where the ball was rolling out of play, and Alonso kicks the ball hard against the advertisement boards so that it'll bounce back to him. I thought this was pretty clever, cus' usually most of us will just follow the ball and pick it up. Ok ok back to the game.

[14"] Ronaldo does too many stepovers (I honestly dislike Ronaldo for his flashy, flamboyant, obnoxious style of play, he reminds me of that French tennis player Jo-Wilfried Tsonga who stunned Nadal in the recent Australian Open, grrrr). So flashy and for what? Useless as he runs into Alonso soon after.

Arsenal looks more like an Arsenal player than a Liverpool player, haha I don't know why.

We seem to need Crouchy's aerial threat as we keep having long, high balls in.

Nice defending by Mascherano on Ronaldo.

Whatta SCARE! Reina runs out and chests the ball shakily away.

Mascherano has to tone down a little or he'll get into serious trouble for misconduct especially with the hot debate over conduct in english football recently.

[23"] A Manure free-kick from the sideline picks out Ronaldo as he tries to shoot nearside of post, bounces off the post and away from the net.

[25"] Nice challenge by Arbeloa as he puts ball out of play.

[26"] Nice stepover by Babel. Alonso sets up Kuyt, Kuyt sets up Gerrard who's lurking down the middle in the box, he shoots but it's just wide. Corner kick to Liverpool.

I gotta admit, Manure's pace (especially obvious in the forward) is immense. In terms of pace, Manure wins hands down.

[28"] Manure's first corner, Ronaldo lurks in penalty box. No threat.

Haissss if only Kuyt's pace is a lil' faster, it'll be so much better to assist either Babel or Torres. Kuyt's lack of pace gives Manure defenders more time to close down on us.

[31"] Nice play by Aurelio to Torres, but play's intercepted.

[32"] Manure striker shoots on target, Pepe jumps high and slaps it away just inches before it goes beyond the line, PHEW!!!

[33"] Wes Brown beats Pepe high in the air, after a cross from Rooney. Pepe tries to punch it away, but collides and ball goes into the net. Wes Brown, with a header puts Manure 1-0 in the lead.

Our defense is really disappointing tonight, it has been really shaky, Hyypia's absence? Manure's stretching our defense waaaay wide, leaving gaping holes in the middle which can be exploited by Rooney or Ronaldo, even more so with their monstrous pace.

Crouch's warming up in the side-lines. Commentator talks about Teddy Sherringham who supports a rugby style of conduct on a radio programme upon his retirement.

[39"] Ronaldo shoots but 2 man wall does its job.

[41"] Babel's really pro at weaving in and out of defenders on the flank, if only he could successfully cross the ball to the middle.

{43"] Torres is yellow carded for dissent. Mascherano taunts the referee relentlessly, ref lost his patience and gives Masch his 2nd yellow card and is sent off the field. Rafa and the trainers had to calm him down and get him off the field.

This is serious cus' the only people doing decent defending tonight are Carra and Mascherano. And so, we're 1 man down against Manure. T_T

Nokia MOTM is Ronaldo with 60%. WHAT THE!?!?!?! I thought it'd be Scholes.

Start of 2nd half.

[46"] Manure gives a major scare again as Rooney shoots, but Pepe makes yet another amazing save.

Gerrard is forced to play deeper now as Masch's absence is sorely felt.

[52"] Arbeloa's yellow carded as he brings down Andersen just outside the penalty box. Free kick given to Manure.

[54"] Liverpool's severely lacking, lotsa dangerous moments as Manure pounds at our defense.

[55"] Van der Saar's looooong ball down our half finds Rooney down the middle, and he's 1 on 1 with Pepe again, he shoots but it deflects off Pepe's legs. Rooney's monstrous burst of pace can be seen here, it kinda reminds me of Michael Owen in his heyday.

[58"] Commentator "Ronaldo always expects a free kick". I couldn't agree more, this is especially so whenever a defender runs side by side with him down the flank.

[59"] Ronaldo volleys the ball way over the net.

[60"] Yello card to Ferdinand for challenge on Torres.

[68"] Free-kick by Gerrard, he tries to pick out Torres but the ball slipped away from him as he lurks dangerously in the penalty box.

[70"] Nobody to support Torres in the box!!! If only Crouchy was on instead of Kuyt!!!

[72"] Nice ball in by Rooney, he crosses it to Andersen who wasted an awesome chance at goal by skyrocketing into the stand.

Manure sub: Giggs off, Nani on. Tevez on, Andersen off. I think Andersen's really lousy for Manure.

Why isn't Rafa taking Kuyt off and putting Crouchy on!?!?!

I was so sian at the remaining 10 mins that I basically closed my notebook looking like this :(((((.

I agree that Mascherano was stupid for challenging the ref, and got sent off. Mascherano is a good midfielder and did his red card cost us tonight? Yes it did. But in all honesty, I feel that Liverpool didn't really have a real chance of converting. Why wasn't Crouchy on? This match was vital to both Liverpool and Manure. A win to Manure gives them a 6 point lead over Arsenal who have been drawing a lot lately. I'd rather Arsenal win the title race, really. A loss to Liverpool would mean Everton can spring an upset on us, with them breathing down our necks, there's a chance they can kick us off 4th spot. And if that happens, the Champions League will be a lot tougher for us next season. SIGH.

Consolation

Well, the only consolation tonight was that I finally get to see Jam Xiao Jing Teng on SINGAPORE TV tonight, on Channel U. Omg I'm just mesmerised whenever he sings, the last song he sang was the best! Oh god! I can't wait for his album to be out come May, I'll definitely purchase his album and go for all his autograph sessions! :)
