★The Last Day of 2007 ★

Smelly's back to update on the LAST day of 2007. No time to emo now, gotta type on. :D

21st Dec '07 Early Christmas with the Martinis

Met up with the Martinis for an early Christmas dinner at Fish & Co. We waited quite awhile before we finally got our seats. Pity we didn't get the top-floor seats! Haha the live band was... to say the least LOUD. They put us right in front of the entrance initially and we were really near to the band but they were so LOUD we had to shout across the table just to order something, much less chat, so we requested for a change of table. This time, we sat right in front of the freezer shelf where they placed canned beers and desserts (for takeaways), the door to the kitchen was like 10 feet away. Lol!

I ordered New York Fish & Chips, Yutini and I wanted to order beer or anything with alcohol in it but changed our minds cus' we planned to go get some drinks after fishing. That sure is some self-control, huh? Haha. I love the cheesy fish fillet, but it sure was super oily. I think Fish & Co's serving kinda shrunk? Anyhoo, the cheesy fishy with Fish & Co's tartar sauce(there's something magical about the Tartar sauce there I tell you!) is oh-so-appetizing!!! I'm gonna salivate just thinking about it. T_T

What's a girl's favorite post-dinner entertainment? Peektures taking! Took pictures right outside Fish & Co and that landmark LOVE sculpture. In the process, I actually TOUCHED Rootini's FINGERNAILS! Hahaha cus' they were telling us to do the 'heart' pose and it just happened. That's gotta be my WTH? moment of year 2007. Lol!

Crossed over to PS awhile later, more peektures taking. There was this makeshift veranda thingy outside PS and there were like lights all over, what a waste of electricity, but yeah there's nothing to make the atmosphere more christmassy than lights, lights and more lights! Yuntini suggested to head over to Giraffe but it isn't really that good an idea for our pockets so we headed back to PS, wanted to go to Carrefour to get a 6-pack but there wasn't many places for us to chill. Alas, we landed in KFC. Haha chilling at KFC late into the night's pretty dope. ;)

22nd Dec '07 Ah Shing's birthday celebration cum Christmas dinner

Met up with the Vultures! And I was EARLY! Haha ok well not early in the conventional sense, but in a Smelly sense. Shimmy and Ah Shing were still on their way so we headed to Sizzler first cus' we wanted to have the free salad bar and soup and dessert thingy. We had to wait a lil' while for our table to be laid out, and there was this HUGE group of NS men trying to work out their bill and their total came up to like $700++, like OMG? Hahaha they were standing around at the table near the entrance, trying to sort out who's to pay how much and stuff, they took around 15 mins to settle it. Lol their method was kinda interesting, those who'd settled their bill went out to Sizzler, so you can see them exit Sizzler one by one. Lol?

I ordered the Swiss Grilled Chicken (super nice! Grilled chicken with Swiss cheese and bacon strips, nothing can go wrong with this combo!), yep more cheese. Haha! Shimmy caught up with us soon after and we charged for the soup. The clam chowder's superb, tip: scoop deep into the pot cus' that's where the clams are lurking ;). Most of us were finishing up on our main course and Ah Shing finally arrived! Haha Ah Shing the McMuffin killer, poor Zlink, we empathise with you. Lol. Then Ah Shing told us this really interesting story (it really made a lot of sense!), there was this relative of her colleague's colleague who had passed away and told her colleague's colleague in a dream to NOT waste food cus' you're gonna eat those food you wasted when you go to H-E-L-L (Mr Lee Mou Choon). Hahaha and we actually crapped a lot about that. XD

And Xinyi dropped a bomb on us! We're super happy for her, you gotta be blissful always ok! Haha some of us are still happy pedestrians. XD But we decided that Ah Shing's SIA, Shimmy's a NASA space rocket (own time own target somemore!) lol! Oh so scandalous! After crapping, updating and eating at Sizzler from lunch to dinner time, we headed to the fountain of wealth area to take peektures! Sat down and chatted, while we decided where to next. Xinyi had to leave a lil' earlier to meet a certain (special) someone. ;D Shimmy initially wanted to drink coffee but changed her mind after almost reaching Gelare, so all of us moved to McDs instead.

Haha after settling in, none of us are willing to move, much less order anything. Shimmy and Renmin finally ordered shaker fries, Renmin needed one more MacD point to order the shaker fries! Haha polished every single fry and we decided it wasn't enough so Ah Shing, Zlink and I pooled money to order 2 more shaker fries. Haha then crapped somemore, and even watched Shimmy 'emo'. Lol and yeah 22nd Dec is an auspicious day. XD Initially planned to ton at Ah Shing and Zlink's dorm on the 24th, but couldn't make it cus' will be going to a family dinner then the Martinis. Wanted to take the last train out to Harborfront but figured I really couldn't make it for the last bus out to NUS so had to miss it. Ton next time k!

23rd Dec '07 AMK Hub, Chilean red wine.

Went down to AMK hub with Mee and Nut. Haha christmas shopping. Got new PJs, shorts (super comfy at a super reasonable price). We always get good stuff with FOC with Mee. :D Bought a bottle of Chilean red wine, full bodied red wine! Took away KFC family feast for dinner.

Reached home and we couldn't find the godforsaken wine bottle opener!!! Hahaha Nut and I really wanted alcohol so much we actually went down to the mama stall and asked if they have it, REJECTION! So we walked to 7-11 then NTUC and asked if they have it, REJECTION! We were in lok kok PJs-worthy and slippers, then we made a crazy decision to walk all the way out to Northpoint's coldstorage to get the holy wine bottle opener. We were walking like maniacs man cus' it was nearing 11pm, and my feet suffered some nasty blisters (told you I'm not a slippers kinda person! It'll always gonna be sneaks for me!). Finally got it and took a bus back. Yep first thing we did was to open and drink to our hearts' content. Hahaha the whole thing was super fun.

24th~25th~26th Dec '07 Christmas Eve

Reached Yuntini's house like super late. Actually went back to Yishun from Thomson area to take 853 to Serangoon. Hahaha it was 10pm by the time I got on the bus. T_T I drank a lil' before that and slept on the bus cus' it was so comfy. Haha reached there and Yuntini wasn't back yet so we played some games by the pool area. And I realised I always say 'pi la'!

Then Yuntini's parents came down and called us to go up and we did! Yuntini's parents are always so hospitable, they took out drinks, mango, cookies, chips and stuff for us. :D Continued with our game, and it cracked us up man! Lol and we actually missed the countdown! Forgot what we were doing but we missed it! Hahaha then we called Yuntini and yelled Merry Christmas thru the phone. Lol!

She finally rushed back (like super quick!) and we opened the red wine (courtesy of Nana's dad's stash!), lol we struggled to open that darned thing (what's with red wine bottles man?!) and Yuntini's mum laughed at our miserable attempt. Finally popped it open! Watched some movies on cable and drank choya after finishing the red wine. We crashed at 3+ in the morning. Lol the alcohol was a high.

Woke up 9am the next morning and we had log cake for breakfast (how Christmassy can it get!?! Ho ho ho!). Watched this programme called Made something something on MTV, then Yuntini's mum ordered pizzas! I think we were still under alcoholic influence cus' we wanted to open the door and shout Merry Christmas at the deliveryman. Lol thankfully, we didn't! Or the uncle'll prolly drop our orders and take off man. Had lunch then packed up our stuff and went home. Haha poor Nana had to put up with me moaning about my 'bowel habits'. Lol!

Reached home late afternoon then Ron came over for a stayover. Haha gamed together! Ron brought the BLUE basketball over! Went to play basketball the next day. We shot some hoops then teamed up with these 2 kids who came by. The chinese boy's only primary 5 la! And the indian boy was sec 1. Made us feel super old. T_T Haha and kids these days ah...the pri 5 kid teamed up with me and he kept teasing Vinesh (the indian kid), calling him to go back to India. Lol! So we called the chinese kid Xiao Hong, hahaha Ron said he looked like those China acrobatic kids la!

Shot hoops for hours there then a group of Malay kids came over and we played soccer instead. Haha and that Xiao Hong is super funny, I asked him if he wanna join our match then he asked me to look at the sign (there's this no soccer sign). Hahaha children are super cute la!

Thanks to basketball and soccer, my limb muscles are aching man, it didn't happen with badminton. That means I'm working my rarely used muscles! Hohoho! :DD

Went to meet up with Jamie and passed her the letters yesterday, bought Panadol and gotta rush home cus' my sister's temperature is rising. She vomitted the previous day but she didin't wanna go to the doc. Mum finally dragged her to see the doc and he suspects it's a virus, still doesn't know what's the problem but I'm sure it's all okay now. :)

On Man City vs Liverpool

Deja vu. I've lost count of the number of times we played super well and ended up not getting the well-deserved 3 points. Kewell, Masch, Aurelio and Carra did well last night! But I sure am missing Hyypia, our defense broke down horribly quite a few times. And I conclude that every ref in EPL hates us! I thought Kuyt had a great attempt at goal in the first half but other than that? Torres was seriously marked, Man City did an awesome job covering the field last night, Stevie could barely create space. Torres should just play it simple sometimes. Vassell's pace is crazy! We nearly got our 3 points in the dying minutes but was cleared right on the line of goal by Dunne. Dunne broke many many hearts last night I'm sure. =,( Really felt like crying, it just got so frustrating! And I don't know what's with Rafa and Kuyt, don't know what he sees in Kuyt that we don't, he keeps breaking the flow forward. He did really well before Torres arrived, he worked well with Bellamy, but when Torres arrived, it's all about fitting in with Torres. It's not that he's a lousy player, it's just that he doesn't click with him. Hais and it's heart-wrenching cus' he tries so hard. I really love Benayoun but he wasn't quite himself last night...hmmm. =( And Arbeloa just doesn't work for us as CB. As they say there's a very fine line between genius and insanity, Rafa are you listening?

As much as I like Rafa (he seems like a really nice man) but I seriously think he should make his substitutions earlier if he wanna change something. Hmm... Just hope next year will be a better year for us!

Whew! Ok I gotta take a break from intense blogging haha shall come up with a new year resolution list later. XD Happy New Year's Eve fellas!
