Carling Cup Round 3 Result:

Liverpool 4 - 3 Reading

LFC's goal-scorers: Fowler ("44), Riise ("45), Paletta ("49), Crouch ("77)

RFC's goal-sc
orers: Bikey ("75), Lita ("80), Long ("84)

4 goals contributed by Liverpool lads Fowler (my sentimental favorite still in LFC), John Arne Riise, debutant Paletta and Crouchy (!) got us through to the 4th round of the Carling Cup. Though Reading really gave us a major 2nd half scare, just look at the intervals in between the 3 goals scored by RFC! Nice name, Bikey. =D

It felt so good and nostalgic to see Robbie Fowler don the captain's armband again since 2001, still remembered how he went into decline, there was a time where Fowler was put into cold storage by Houllier, subsequently moving off to Leeds and then Man City, now BACK to where he belongs. Rafa, can you do that to Owen too once he's recovered from his injury? If Ronaldo can make a comeback, Owen can too. I'd be the happiest person in the world (even if it's only for a season) if I could see the Owen-Fowler pairing again.

The strike also ensured Fowler finally moved a goal ahead of Kenny Dalglish and up to second
in the club's leading League Cup scorers chart with only Ian Rush ahead of him. Ian Rush leh! The goal-scoring machine back in our glory days! And now Fowler's only 2nd to him! He came back after going through a BIG roundabout in Leeds then Man City then back again to achieve this feat! Is this cool or what?

Riise got a well-deserved goal after a nice set-up pretty mush orchestrated by the man himself. This guy got balls I tell you, he's sharp, alert, young and aggressive. Watch
out!

Woohoo~ Argentinian Paletta debuted in this match and joined in the 4 goal run over Reading. Grabbed a goal on his debut, left a pretty good impression on me, hmm shall keep him in check for furth
er games. Though with Rafa's rotation policy, wonder when we can get to see this guy again? Hmm but he's a freshie in Anfield, so I guess Rafa will field him more often to let him break into his new position in Liverpool, just like how you'd wear new shoes and make it a lil more seasoned. So, Paletta, we'll see more of you, I guess.

Weee~ A goal fr
om Crouchy after a flawless pass from Fowler, gurantees us a 4 goal victory! Give Mr Teck-ko (bamboo) some credit, he's no longer a joke lar. Don't discriminate against him just cus' he's taller than most earthlings can?

I've been playing Maplestory religiously for the past month or so, no worries Mum's back to keep t
abs on me, so I haven't really neglected my studies, I guess. =D And Liverpool's goalkeeper Pepe Reina has something in common with Maple! For maplers, there's this monster called the Jr. Pepe ----> and it drops Pepe fish ----> There's a monster named after Pepe Reina! Immortalized!

More football! Zidane's gonna make plans for his future after his retirement from football. And guess what? That Italian piece of shit Materrazi says "he's still not ready to shake hands with Zidane". PLEASE LAR! Do you think Zidane's holy hand will wanna touch youre filthy ones huh? Grrrrr. Here's wishing Zidane all the best!

Away from football~ Mum's finally back from Shanghai, Suzhou and some other zhou. LOL. I don't think it was a holiday cus' she felt so tired after the trip. Imagine having to get up at 6am in the morning for 10 days and then rushing off to see the many attractions in the zhous! Like some intensive training camp, lar. LOL. And she couldn't even remember any of the names of the sites she went to lar, other than where the infamous rape of Nanjing took place. My aunts and me mum were complaining how dirty and congested (to put it mildly) Shanghai was. Hmm Oriental Pearl? Sounds more like a **** to me. She said it was like the Christmas Countdown crowd @Orchard multiplied by a 100. Yeah, it was THAT bad. And there were like people spitting everywhere and anywhere they go. YUCK! Then one of my aunts was eating something and she was looking for a bin to dispose if the wrapper, then the tour guide (from China and earns only 200 hundred bucks RMB every mth!) tell her "Sui bian dui" (Just throw, help yourself to the rubbish dump that we already have here). Being a true blue Singaporean, she cannot bear to throw lar, so another Singaporean in the group said "Lai wo bang ni diu lar!" (Come I help you throw lar!) and he really did it! Wah sey. I think we really pick up bad habits there man! My poor mum, she was having lunch after she touched down, and she ate so damned fast lar! Then I told her to relax, cus' she's not in China already, don't have to rush to another attraction so can take her time to eat.

Wah sey! Not my kinda holiday man! My ideal holiday a beach getaway! As long as it's a beach, got sun, sand, sea, GOOD food is an added BONUS! Wah then it'll be super for me already. Ahhh~ When are the holidays coming man!
